2023: The Curse at Alton Manor

Thank you all, was unsure as to who did both. Sounded similar when I heard it in person but was unsure. And on another note has anyone who’s been on park recently seen the smoke effects working in the queue line? Wasn’t working all day when I was there earlier in June.

The sound track is incredible for this. Might be my new favourite soundtrack on park, despite me loving The Smiler’s and (controversially) the new Rapids one.
I honestly can't remember if the rapids ever had one to begin with, did it?

The narrator for Alton Manor is Pete Cliff
That's the guy who was formerly part of Holovis and AT Ents, correct?

I'm sure most people on here will know him as The Smiler Shop video. He was also the lead designer for many of the scaremazes including Carnival of Screams and Sub Species. Allegedly he was also the person who proposed the concept for the Wicker Man theme as well, but I can't seem to verify that last one...

Pete Cliff has done a lot of narrations at Alton Towers over recent years, and still does the fireworks narration. I don't know for sure that it is him who does the Alton Manor narrations, but seems logical that it would be him.

Smoke effects were out in full force yesterday, in the queue line. Extra eery and lingering around for longer on account of the drizzle and rain.

As in Sir Algenon's voice?

Pretty sure they’ve not worked in at least 2 months so that is positive at least. They definitely weren’t working on May 21st
Half of them were sort of working when I visited mid June - to the untrained eye you wouldn’t have noticed any faults. Good to see them working again and it’s great that the park are keeping on top of maintaining the effects. Leaving one broken effect after another is a slippery slope.
