Drayton Manor Park

I think the fact that they removed their biggest and arguably most famous thrill ride to build the 2024 coaster under the pretence that it no longer fit with their intended target market would suggest that, rightly or wrongly, the park does not see its future in building thrill rides.

Ah, damn — I didn't realise they'd ruled out new thrill rides, but fair enough
They haven’t. We’re all, as usual, reading way too much in to things. They’ve said that the next installation is family thrill. They’ve also said that they want to focus on a park where the whole family can enjoy rides together, of which there are many and I’m sure, many more to come. However, they haven’t once, as far as I’m aware, said “we’re never going to build any thrill rides ever again”. Everything else is absolute conjecture.

I always said in the haunting they need to tell guests that the wait is a minimum of 15 minutes and list the maximum number of guests per ride cycle. Like it’s been reduced from 40 to 28 guests so on average it now gets 84 or less guests per hour.
They could speed it up if they played the pre show video in the queue line.
That would ruin the effect of the old vicarage garden though. The outdoor queue is kinda made to not know what you what you're in for, in a mysterious Haunting way. If the preshow plays outside, what's the point of the lorry in the first place then?

The Haunting is run shockingly bad. It is almost like they have sat down and worked out how they can run the attraction as rubbish as possible. Then gone with it.

Even down to the hosts shouting crap such as "is everyone OK to continue". Completly destroying the small bit of immersion the attraction built and created to that point.

A very average madhouse, ran terribly.

It'd be great if it could be ran better, it really would...

If the attendants didn't have to shout "Is everybody ok to continue?" Trust me, they wouldn't.

All it would take is them to get a piece of audio made by a voice over actor in a style that is in-keeping with the rides theme asking if everyone is ok to continue to keep it immersive.
Why's it needed at all? Never been but assuming it's a mad house.. never had any other mad house where I've been asked if I'm okay. Imagine if they did that on a coaster, stop it on the lift to ask if everyone is okay or wants to get off. Repeat on the mid course brakes.

They have to ask in every room if everyone wants to continue as theses been quite a few kids crying who want to leave. It’s mainly in the room with the lady as she quite scary for kids. There has been some who haven’t even got into that room as they didn’t like the stroke or smoke machines in the skeleton room.
