Drayton Manor Park

By “new ownership”, do you mean the recent buyout of the Looping Group or the Looping Group in general?

Sorry if this seems like a random question, but on an unrelated note, did DMP recently introduce Fastrack? Or did I make that up?
I think they meant looping group in general, as the buyout was very recent wasn’t it? And I feel like from their post things have been happening since they took over from the Bryan’s.

Unfortunately yes they have introduced fast track which is a shame and also not necessarily needed imo.

Just a heads up Drayton manor are currently doing 20% off for hotel stays including 2 days park tickets, silver fast track (I believe for both days) and breakfast.
This deal is on until 4pm today, also happy national rollercoaster day everyone.

So I just booked for 2 people a night for £182 and breaking down the price:
4 tickets to the theme park = £124
4 silver fast track = £120
Breakfast usually costs around £8 at a hotel so £16 for both of us

I'm not going to include the free parking cost because I'm catching the train but for me this comes to £260 value and the price of the stay was £182.
So the perks of staying in the hotel add up to to more than the cost of the short break well actually it's at £78 profit, so think I grabbed a good deal there, I'm taking my younger sibling so he should love it.

How do you ever create fasttrack and not affect throughput...ever?
Every fasttrack ticket sold makes your queue longer.
Drayton does not have efficient operations, so have they not sold many/any passes then?

With the rides open currently at weekends to 9pm on Saturdays and 8pm on Sunday’s the ride availability is the worst I ever seen at the park.

Yeah, but they’ve got good social media.

Apologies if ive missed the discussion on this but the new rollercoaster thats coming, wheres it going?

Yeah, but they’ve got good social media.
This is sadly the problem if you have a good social media team but the park doesn’t live up to the standards that social media are portraying.

As an outsider who hasn’t visited Drayton this year, I thought that things were looking extremely positive, but I’d clearly been sucked in by the socials. Now that I hear about the poor ride availability and staff shortages, this just sounds like the old Drayton pre-Looping, albeit with lots of new and refurbished areas.

Be interested too see when we get a visual of the track layout! I’m surprised nothing has been leaked yet!
Me to especially since a lot of other parks around the world have slowly been revealing their new coasters for 2024 so I'm surprised Drayton haven't done the same.

In the history of Drayton Manor none of there coasters have be revealed to they fully been built.
As I said pages ago locals were invited to view plans of the coaster and ideas they had for the farm area of the park but they were not allowed to film or take pictures and wasn’t allowed to reveal plans for the coaster.

What was the height restriction before?

I worked on another rapids about 10 years ago and it was minimum 0.9m back then so even 1.1m seems high to me. I guess a lot has changed since then.
