Technically, there is both a dispatch sequence and lift hill audio; surely they’re both “track element audio”, are they not?
There's a dispatch light sequence, some music and a projection onto the wings above the station exit (for the train), which fills up with molten metal, to signify the forging of the wings, in addition to a smoke effect. As a train re-enters the station, there's a similar sequence.
It’s not the most impressive. Dispatch soundtrack, bit of smoke, some lights at the front of the station, and a projection mapped pair of wings above the front of the station where the train exits.

I thought that the on board audio on Ride To Happiness is fantastic and brilliantly integrated in to the ride. The way that the Hans Zimmer score builds anticipation as you wait for first launch and then really kicks in as the ride becomes intense is superbly done (and the tune itself is an absolute banger). I see it as being a score that mirrors the ride experience itself with a beginning, middle, and an end, and it really gets the adrenaline going. I’m very surprised to hear that you felt it added little.
Yes, I've heard that Mack charge just €1 per seat to add onboard audio. Incredible that they didn't go for it really!

I've been on Blue fire multiple times recently, and didn't even realise it was supposed to have onboard audio!
I think there's only one train left in the fleet where it actually works properly. Some of them don't even have it at all.
