Blackpool Pleasure Beach: 2025 Discussion

I don't see how creating a car park in a gated park area with rides makes "perfect business sense".
The parking is only full on less than 10% of days.
Car parks overall, maybe (I'd be surprised if it was that often) - the hotel car parks fill up far more frequently though.

Obviously the boundary fence would move.

Skyforce never seemed that popular to me, I never went on it as I don't do spin & spews - but I don't want to give the impression I'm in favour of rides closing; absolutely not.

If I wasn't totally naive I'd say they could reclaim some of the surplus parking elsewhere for more rides and/or a relocated Skyforce...

Looking forward to my first trip of the year on Sunday but fully expecting the usual chaos.

They already have 11 rides out of action, some permanently. (Alpine Rally, Thompsons Carousel, Gallopers, Eddie Stobart, Sky Force, Dodgems, Krusty Crabb, Grand National, Grand Prix , River Caves and Launch Pad) , so that is almost a third of their total ride offering compared to just a few years ago and that is before any other last minute closures or operating issues on opening weekend.

Hopefully the beer and company will make up for what is likely to be another shambolic opening weekend.

See you in Spoons or Crevettes gentlemen :)

Just interested, where di you get Krusty krab will ne closed from? No mention of it being closed on their website

Back soon! These rides are temporarily closed

But I love the chaos of first weekend shakey, and we even have a good forecast for Sunday.
I still owe you beer for the Thorpe "incident".
Lets hope the volvo makes it.

I'm baffled why they can get the dodems working. All these rides closed has more than a whiff of cost cutting about them

They were occasionally closed two seasons ago on quieter days...especially if all the coasters were open on the south part of the park.
Takes two staff with break cover.
Loved being naughty on the dodgems.
Bought the tshirt, twice.

I mean, if it means the removal of the more… problematic… elements, then I’m all for it.

As to whether Mandy will actually do anything beyond putting that sign up though is anyone’s guess.

Do they even have any money to 'modernise' it I'm guessing it'll be a 3 years closure for them to do the essential maintenance and a couple little touch ups maybe.

I propose turning the River Caves into the River Raves. A journey though techo featuring different eras of dance music complete with pumping soundtracks, strobe lights, glow sticks and air horns.
