[2025] Toxicator: New Forbidden Valley Suspended Top Spin

I wonder how they will manage queues and crowds, given that the entrance is right next to the tunnel and shop. On opening day and busy days, the queues will no doubt be spilling out of the entrance.

It all looks OK. I'm personally not a fan of the dirty concrete theme. It's themed well (just not my taste).

My only gripe is the tarmac flooring. I was hoping that was going to be temporary. A resin layer over the tarmac with a better colour scheme (or theme) would have been nice.

Is there an alternative pathway through to Galactica from the rest of Forbidden Valley? Or is this the sole pathway?

They couldn't put it in X Sector so had to make it on brand with The Smiler's station

I think it looks fab. The park could have easily done this on the cheap and slapped a Top-Spin down where Ripsaw was, but they’ve dressed it up really nicely and made sure that it’ll be interesting for bystanders to watch off-ride.

I was unsure as to how the green would translate in the area, but I actually think it looks quite smart. I think the contrast between this and Nemesis is quite striking, and the difference in colours keeps the whole area from being just black and red which I think would’ve become stale quite quickly.

I just hope that this is a sign of things to come and not a one off. We need another 2-3 flats in the park themed to the same level ASAP to tide visitors over until their next major investment.

It does feel like they are upping their game with theming lately. Maybe the backlash from the retro squad has made them think twice before just placing any new ride in the park with little thought.

They also seem to be removing underwhelming rides that don't really add much more than a number to the ride line up. The problem is, we want the pace of additions to be quicker than the current pace. Maybe now things like the skyride have been refurbished we might see a quicker pace of replacement rides, but then again there's also the monorail and toilets etc that also need attention. I feel for Bianca, it can't be easy inheriting the park in such a state but that's down to the park management over the years and she can only go as quick as the capex pot allows her.

Overall I'm pretty happy with this addition and hopefully it's a sign of things to come.

I know I’ve been documented on here to question the level of effort put in with Toxicator when we need several flats, but I’m genuinely impressed with the finished look and I take back my previous comments where I alluded to my preference for the park to just chuck in 4 lightly themed flats at the same time.

Slightly off topic but the monorail should definitely be the next infrastructure investment; new trains and station refurbs. I’m personally not bothered about the toilets - I think they’re ok as they are as long as they’re clean and have hot water.

Get another major flat open at the same time as the new train set in CBeebies Land for 2026, followed hopefully by another later that year, then get Horizon, dungeons and TWODW sorted for 2027/2028 and the park will be buzzing.

But back to Toxicator - it looks bloody fantastic, intimidating and a real showpiece.
