At a guess, in the UK they are separate buttons to press for harnesses and gates.Something i noticed on my recent excursions is European parks open air gates as soon as harnesses release, which obviously improves operations and UK parks do not. Is this due to some specific UK health and safety regulations?
In Germany, they probably have one big red button labeled "RAUS!"

I'm currently at Europa Park where on some of the older rides they open the gates before the trains stop moving. Similarly, restraints unlock before the trains park on EuroMir & Schweizer Bobbahn. It's possible to stand up in Mir before the train fully parks, but given the speed it pulls into the station this is not advisable!

When do fast tracks for single rides go on sale? I know its first come first served, so want to make sure I get in quick.
Is there any limit on the number of fast tracks which can be bought?
I believe individual rides can only be purchased on the day.
