Thorpe Park: General Discussion

They have clearly changed the limit for hyperia to run now, as it was windy but certainly not too bad and not for the whole day. I guess it got to a point in the day they just decided to leave it and call it a day. Fairly early in the day both trains had been moved into the maintenance shed and the music all turned off, so guess they didn’t want to open it.
I'm going to presume that the park were not willing to risk having the ride valley and it being closed for the following day or two and then open on reduced capacity for a couple of days.

I'd say it is a strategic decision as another valley could risk it coming out and bad press for Hyperia which is not needed when the ride has been the most reliable as it's ever been since the last valley.

Especially as the spotlight in the enthusiast community is on Top Thrill 2 and whether that lasts more than a week this time.

I'd say it's more a pain in the arse, time consuming and expensive to have to disassemble, move, reassemble and inspect a coaster train each time it valleys, rather than bad press.

The fries, no matter the Burger King restaurant, are always Vegan Society certified in the UK. All fries are fried in a dedicated fryer, without animal products.

KFC is the least vegan-friendly of the major fast food chains, they do share fryers/oil between fries and popcorn chicken. As you say BK and McDs do have dedicated fryers for fries and vegetarian items.

That too 😊 You're right as well on that

It's the least painful approach for keeping their most popular open - a few hours closed over a few days closed because they took a risk.

At the park today, no action from Stealth, no train on the track and maintenance isn’t working on it at present.

The plaza feels weird being so empty! The music is still playing but that’s it :(
