Chessington World of Adventures Resort

It'll be interesting to see how many people actually turn up for these new areas if they have visited this year.

An overwhelmingly negative experience of visiting half a park, packed to the rafters, filled with adverts of exciting things to come back for if I part with another couple of hundred quid would absolutely not tempt me back. In fact I'd be fuming.

I still think that they're trying to do too much at once, and not necessarily in the right areas. Runaway Train and Kobra are significant capacity losses.

The mine train had already been closed for several years and Kobra had a poor throughput though obviously losing the trio of rides in Wild Asia is a blow to capacity.

Why are you assuming people would have an overwhelmingly negative experience? The majority of attractions remain open. Personally I think people tend to find ongoing construction projects exciting and a reason to return. Certainly on our last visit plenty of children were salivating at the paw patrol boardings so just wait till Minecraft is officially announced.

I did hear that the park has reduced capacity for this year to counter the loss of rides and whilst I don’t have an official source we haven’t seen any horrendous queue days yet.

The notion that people subsequently won’t come to two new themed areas based on significant IP due to some current advertised ride closures is something I strongly disagree with.

I will await for the summer months to see the full impact. The school holiday season has always been hell on earth at Chessie, this year will be even worse.

I would take any claims of a capacity reduction with a pinch of salt, but we'll see.

I'm thinking that the loss of capacity may have been counteracted by the opening of Jumanji and Shipwreck Coast which the capacity now would be similar to 2021?
