[202X] Project Horizon (SW9?): Planning Approved
Wasn't there rumours more Flat Rides are on the way. I believe Towers don't need any mode coasters till the filler rides are brought inI’m just shocked that other than the CBeebies coaster we actually have nothing planned for 26 or 27 if Horizon is cancelled.
Well, nothing planned in the public domain anyway
Yes, there’s the 3 ride package purchase from Huss Rides which has been rumoured for a while now. I’m not sure where the source originated from but I read here that it was a fairly legitimate source.Wasn't there rumours more Flat Rides are on the way. Hopefully along with the new CBeebies coaster, we see at least one new flat in X Sector for 2026.
Ideally we need at least 7 or 8 Flats to get back to reasonable amount. We currently have 2 Toxicator and Marauders MayhemYes, there’s the 3 ride package purchase from Huss Rides which has been rumoured for a while now. I believe the 3 ride package story was straight from the mouth of Bianca herself from that video from TPWW. Toxy was likely the first though what and where the next two will go remains to be seen, nothing stopping them to adding both in the same year but that's just me.Yes, there’s the 3 ride package purchase from Huss Rides which has been rumoured for a while now. I'm still certain that the Universal approval would have likely affected PH's start built date in which had Universal not gone ahead then likely the original plan might have started work on building it by now but now with Universal likely to push Merlin's theming talents to their limit, they know that they can't get away with their efforts that they've been doing for many years now and that likely PH will be part of a wider retheme of TWODW and maybe Dungeons to create perhaps what would be one of the largest investments the park would ever do and would be their answer to Universal. After all, we're already seeing that Chessington is getting ready for the eventual competition with Universal with their new areas which won't be cheap so likely the same thing might be happening with a more ambitious PH plan here.
Honestly it wouldn't be much of a surprise that management at Towers would be more than happy to see the back of TWODW given how poor it has been if this is what is likely to happen here.

The Flag Tower will be completely hidden if Project Horizon goes ahead in its current form.Anyone think the flag Tower might be viewable if Project Horizon goes ahead never been near that building before
If I'm being completely honest, it's one of the reasons why I'm low-key hoping that the current iteration of Horizon has been shelved pending a rethink. It would be a big plus if they were able to redevelop the area to at least allow at least a view of the Flag Towers, as it is such a shame that it is hidden away from the public.

If Project Horizon was just a typical outdoor coaster then I wouldn't be overly bothered if it was cancelled tbh in favour of adding more flat rides.
The fact it seems 99.9% likely that it was going to be an indoor coaster means I 'd put this project over any others if I was in charge. The park could massively benefit from another major indoors ride and especially one that can soak up big queues. Ever since they got rid of Black Hole I have missed having that experience at the park.

Maybe it’s just me, but having driven past the flag tower several times, seeing it in the state it is, covered in several phone masts and cables, with requisite warning signs all around the base, I think we can shelve any idea of making it a focal point.
