Football Discussion

Trent’s decision to do the announcement before the end of the season seems odd. It’s like he was hoping for and expecting a hero’s send-off. It’s like he’s never been to a football match before.
He couldn't win with that. If he'd done that he'd be labelled a coward for leaving it to after the season had ended.

I think he didn't announce it soon enough. The contract delays made things go sour enough, then to eventually confirm it

Think the only time would've been back in pre-season which probably would've been met with demands he immediately be stripped of the vice captaincy and sold.

That's certainly not sat well this season as well him been the vice captain and his previous claims he wanted to be the club captain, and him shirking any responsibilities that position would have.

Virgil and Mo had no issues doing post match interviews all season despite being in the same contract situation.

They wanted to stay though

Only after seeing what Slot was like. Good job Amorin turned us down, or whatever united supporter think.

He could not win in this situation. No time was the last time. I would imagine the best scenario was him leaving for a fee last summer.

The decision is what it is. He should have come out earlier. Everyone knew Madrid wanted him and he was out of contract. Madrid love a Bosman signing of a quality player.

I think, like in most cases. The story has been blown up for click bait and selling papers.

He will get giddy again and take on a prem side, be great at Manure. Or Chelsea come knocking again.

I've always said he's a good caretaker. Once he starts putting his own mark on a side that's when he starts to fail.

He's a good manager. Finished 4th with Chelsea on a transfer ban and bought Mount, Tomori and Tammy Abraham into the team playing good football.

Kept Everton up and was unlucky in his second season with them.

Anything can happen in the playoffs and that game last night could have gone either way.

I mean point proved. Did alright at Chelsea first year when back against the wall. Was sacked in second year. (The same side won the European cup, with the Tuch. Someone with a degree of tactical knowledge )

Kept the blue noses up. Back against the wall. Awful football and was sacked not long after. (Ad nausuem for the toffee's)

Bleeding awful at Chelsea second time round. Players knew he was crap first time round.

Coventry, Robins was at that club too long, by the sound of it. Some players downed tools. Frank has walked into a good side that was under performing.

Next year will be the trial for him.

He has the same issue Arteta has. He just appears to be a bit weird.

Up the f*cking Palace

What a day ❤️💙 It hasn't sank in and probably won't for a while. But I love this team to bits

Can't imagine how it must feel to be there for your team's first ever major trophy. Against that lot, too. Incredible
