Dungeons Replacement
I personally really want Toyland Tours back but in a new form with all new and completely different scenes.
If there was any ride that best explifyied Alton Towers Magic Toyland Tours would be that and since is been over 20 years since its been at the park there's so many people who did not get the opportunity to ride it

The Boat ride would be perfect for the target demographic I have a lot of fond memories from that Boat Ride and is a fun rideWhatever it is definitely needs to be a family dark ride, something nice and whimsical.
But it's time to ditch the boat flume and start from scratch. Just don't waste money on something "trackless", please!

Sure, a boat ride would be fine. The Boat ride would be perfect for the target demographic I have a lot of fond memories from that Boat Ride and is a fun ride
The trouble is that the existing system has been chopped up and messed with so many times, it would be more trouble than it is worth. Better to start from scratch than fall for the sunk cost fallacy.
Mack Rides still make the system and I hear rumours Pirates Adventure another Mack Rides Boat Ride could be returning soon to so not out of the questionSure, a boat ride would be fine.

Given the use of the ETF ride vehicles at Cadbury’s world and the relative cheap cost of just filling the trough in.
I could also see a trackless ride on the cards definitely.
Depends the theme they wrap it up with but again, they need to get the whole area right.
TWODW, Project Horizon etc. it can’t be another place where attractions go to die.
Intresting developments around the Dungeons lot more of the Wicker has been removed from the side
Is it solar installation related?
Could be or could be something elseIs it solar installation related?

It would be nice to see something in the vain of Dreamflight or Symbolica from Efteling.
I feel like Merlin have trouble in terms of when making dark rides they either go all the way scary (Curse) or all the way to the younger demographic (Gruffalo), it would be nice to see something everyone can enjoy. I don't think Alton Towers is lacking in rides for a very young audience with cbeebies so something adventurous and fun without being scary would be great.
In terms of themes I'd prefer it was original, but if I had to pick a pre-existing IP perhaps a Tintin ride could be fun where you follow his adventures. He's gone all over the world and even space so there's a lot to choose from. I feel like it's got a timeless quality too that would lend itself to dark ride.

The Treasure Island one at Gardaland could fit or some other original concept or based off of an IP but not directly related like Treasure Island isIt would be nice to see something in the vain of Dreamflight or Symbolica from Efteling.

It's got to be a boat ride, I think, even if it's a new one by Metallbau Emmeln. I was all up for Animal Treasure Island coming to Alton, but from POVs it does still look more like I Corsari than I expected, and (at the risk of stating the obvious), it's very, very tailor-made as a retheme of that ride, rather than something they could adapt to their other parks.
Ideally, I'd like something like Toyland Tours back, but if they use an IP, I think one of the few that might work is Sonic the Hedgehog. Green Hill Zone, Marble Zone, Labyrinth Zone... the areas from the original game are beloved, and I think people would like to ride through those.
But assuming it would be tied in with Project Horizon and a retheme of The World of David Walliams, I think one of the few themes versatile enough would be Jules Verne. Project Horizon can allude to Around the Moon, and the boat ride could be themed to what I think is his best book - The Mysterious Island. If not Jules Verne specifically, then certainly that style.

That’s actually given me an idea, I wonder how feasible it would be to extend the boat ride system into the CatCF lift/Trick O’ Treat Town building? It could turn past the maintenance bay toward where the Torture scene was and have a turnaround in the building extension. It's got to be a boat ride, I think, even if it's a new one by Metallbau Emmeln. If it’s not feasible I’d like to see the building split up into two permanent attractions, perhaps the boat ride and a walkthrough style attraction. Extend and perhaps with an overhead covering above the plaza area in front of the building, perhaps including Burger Kitchen.
There could also be space for Meet & Greets and walk around characters using the back-of-house facilities from Dungeons and Beefeaters. That way they’d have an enclosures area of the park that’s sheltered from bad weather and could hold guests until the rain passes (or with this heat, keep them out of the sun!).

The irony being of course that Toyland Tours WAS an IP - their own, original IP that was fairly evergreen for them.
I know I’m stretching a bit, but it was AT’s own Small World, just with much more opportunity for branding partnerships (as they did previously try with Sonic as it happens)
I’d love to see it back, and it has nostalgia on its side, but I’m fairly certain it’ll never happen.
There's a risk with Jules Verne of leaning a bit to much towards the sci-fi-victoriana-steampunk aesthetic though and ending up looking like a knockoff version of Universal's Celestial Park. But assuming it would be tied in with Project Horizon and a retheme of The World of David Walliams, I think one of the few themes versatile enough would be Jules Verne. They almost did had Port Discovery been built instead of X-Sector which was all very heavily inspired by Discovery Land though honestly other parka in Europe and around the world have done the steampunk theme in their own way so in truth I'm not bothered about copycat versions, if anything, it's curious that the UK has never has had a steampunk area in any park after all these years and would be a good change from the usual pirates, dinosaur or viking themes we get nowadays. There's a risk with Jules Verne of leaning a bit to much towards the sci-fi-victoriana-steampunk aesthetic though and ending up looking like a knockoff version of Universal's Celestial Park.
