This doesnāt look fun, the log flume broke and these people were stuck in front of the water gun for over 30 minutes to the point the log filled up with water (they say). I can believe that as you get absolutely soaked on there when itās functioning let alone stationary for that long.

I mean if it was that much of an issue, could you not just get out the boat, you are in a very safe area there to do so.
I do not condone breaking park rules at all. But if it was a cooler day, being stuck like that could have dangerous consequences in the form of hyperthermia, so getting out of the boat would take precedence. Here though, that would not fly as it is a warm day.

She says in the comments they were told to stay in the boat and they had an elderly passenger. Also that they couldnāt turn the spray off.
You can see itās a safe area when the mechanics arrive though, Iād definitely be sitting on the bank.

If it was cooler day I would be too. I am the one, by law, who is legally responsible for the safety and wellbeing of my child, not the park. So if they took there time, in the cooler weather, I would do what I need to do, to keep my child safe.

Visited Legoland today and a few notable things:
- The 4D cinema is now rotating 4 films which is great for us. They've added Mythica back which hasn't been shown for several years and is probably the best film.
- Not sure if this is the case across all the Merlin parks but they're doing Burger Kitchen meals for £10 with a MAP (£5 for kids).
- Haunted House was smashing the throughput but it means they were starting the pre-show as soon as people entered the room. We were at the back of the queue to enter meaning it had finished by the time we got in. It's my sons favourite bit, more so than the ride so he was a bit miffed.
- Drench Towers wasn't open, which was as advertised but come on Merlin!
- Today was the first time the lack of entertainment was really noticeable. Not seeing the divers in this weather was a bit sad.
Had a lovely day, queues generally weren't too bad except the water rides which was to be expected.

They should reopen Viking River Splash its pretty much all still there just needs a refurb and new theming that area currently feels dead.
But if they want to replace it what should they replace it with
Iām not sure what can realistically fit in that space considering how bespoke it is.
Would love a clone of the Wing coaster from
Legoland Germany but thatās never going to happen.
Complete overhaul of the area and trackless dark ride would probably make most sense.
I like the idea of a Mack Rides spinning coaster or an Intamin Lift and Launch with drop track could be a cool ideaIām not sure what can realistically fit in that space considering how bespoke it is.

A spinning coaster ala the new one at Legoland South Korea. Even fits in with the nearby ninjago theme. Feels like the most obvious fit for that area.
Happened to do a crude mock-up of this the other day. In theory it might be able to squeeze inbetween the dark ride and the hill train if they excavated the hill. Then still a lot of room leftover up top...
