Ride Availability/Operations 2022-25

To add to the above, Baron's pre show holds 36 people, so 2 trains, one full train on each side. Tickets are labelled group A & B in addition to a row number. This ensures that at the bag drop you cannot lose your place (or get ahead of anyone) as you have already been assigned to a specific train and row.

The problem with WM all stems from how little space there is after the show. They have trouble getting the loading bays filled in time so instead of controlling guest flow they just try to pack in as many people as possible at every step and its a total mess. At the very least, they should hold the queues at merge to ensure everyone beyond that point gets straight into the main preshow room when the doors open. Ideally they should also open the exit door as soon as the last people from the previous batch have been assigned to a row, as this ensures maximum space for those exiting and speeds up closing the door to start the next show.

It's a very rare John Wardley miss and i'm curious as to how it was envisioned in planning. Perhaps his late involvement meant it was past the point of no return or an aspect he didn't oversee.

Wardley didn’t really contribute much to Wicker Man other than the first drop enhancements. So that wasn’t really a Wardley fail at all!

He mentions in his latest book that it was one of the things he identified as an issue with the original design but it was too late to change.
