That would make some sense. Though I'd hope it was designed with that extra force in mind!I thought I remembered something about the pistons putting increased pressure on the aging release mechanism (as they were under pressure pre release, not something that activated on release) causing increased wear and downtime. I might have made that up though.
Beats croc drop, that’s for sure - at least, out of non spinning drop towers.I still think the PWH model is up there as one of the best in the UK with the pistons in use still
it looks like it is a hole, but it is meant to be there, there is a plate that goes accross the track (similar to the picture bellow) those holes are also found on Galactica, nemesis, etc and I believe it is to drain water that may collect in that support bracket to prevent rusting (they are circular on galactica, it appears as though some white stuff has collected on the outlet, making it look like 2 holes although you can see it used to be one hole)
