I’ve seen reports of the toilets, a skyride station, monorail, some trees, and one of the cafes on fire so far.So many conflicting reports on Twitter.
My money’s on a dodgy vape torching itself. Probably lit up and then someone tried to extinguish a lithium fire with the sink taps..

Nothing serious! SourceAlton Tower confirms 'small fire' broke out in Forbidden Valley - park remains open
A spokesperson for Alton Towers told us: "Earlier today, a small, contained fire was discovered by a colleague in a toilet facility within the Forbidden Valley area of the Resort.
"Our team quickly put out the fire, and as a precaution, we temporarily evacuated the area while we established the cause.
We’d like to thank our guests for their cooperation. The safety and wellbeing of our guests and team members is always our top priority.”

Although this now seems to be over, please continue discussion about ride operations only in this topic. For discussion about the small fire, which was not on a ride, please utilise the General topic. Thanks
Interesting. What's up with Wickerman?Predictably a busy day today and Wickerman not opened today and now oblivion down![]()

Absolutely no idea how useful this is, but I was on park yesterday and Wickerman was closed all day. Walked past and heard someone hammering, but didn't see much activity aside from the mysterious hammerer.

Either the parks quieter or more likely because all the rides are open and operating efficiently its impacting the queue times.Considering the week of the year and the good weather, the park seems very quiet.
Nemesis fifteen minutes, most coasters less than half an hour, lots of minor stuff five minutes.
This is normally busy busy school holidays.
School Trip season is very often the busiest part of the season, then Scarefest and Fireworks 2nd most then Summer after
If its this dead in mid September when I go, I think you'll sadly be right.People are voting with their feet. Good news for both those still visiting and those staying home saving their money.
Less good for management. A hard trend to reverse
Right before Scarefest season, may I add.
