Ride Availability/Operations 2022-25

They swapped a load of restraint sensors when it was first reopened due to issues with them.

If you want practical operations, you want 1 queue in the station and a batcher on the go. Not sure it's an issue FRQ has gone, the station is now much better.
Well judging by the repeated announcements from the female operator on Sunday stating that there wasn’t a front rider queue, you couldn’t wait for the front row as that was holding up the queue and not to argue with staff about it I’d say it is an issue tbh.

There’s always been one, those who haven’t been on this revamped version won’t know it’s been taken away.

Even when a staff member has been there in the past people have still ignored them and queued for front anyway.

I can believe it, people leave their brains at the gates. It’s unfair on the staff ultimately but it’s also taken away an option from costumers. They could have easily put one in and scaled back the theming on that one side wall where it used to be located.
That's my original point, it gives people the option to queue for it. No one can argue that the station isn't miles better because it is. However removing the front row queue was in my opinion shortsighted. Originally when the FRQ was full people wouldn't bother with it and just walk past. They've created a problem for themselves.

Then remove the theming. If it makes operations quicker and easier then it is a no brainer.

It's a theme park, lets have themeing. People can live without the front row. Give hosts the power to eject people from the queue if they're being awkward.

Best park operations I have seen you get no choice. Watch something like Voltron at full chat. Do as you're instructed or get out.

You have theming in every other part of the station. Most people are watching the train and facing towards operations. Trying to eject people from queues will ultimately come with it's own (bigger) problems.

Best park operations like Disneyland/world where you can get front row back row whatever row you want whenever you want just by asking?

It is of no hassle to let people queue for front as an extra in the Nemesis station there is a bit of room at the bottom I think they can let at least 2-3 groups of fours wait for it at no cost to operation. Once is full it’s full and that is that.

If I had a choice I would sacrifice theming for a front row queue as it’s behind you when you look at the train and air gates anyway. The other side is just shelves and racking.

The best coaster queue I’ve seen remains to be Baron 1898 at Efteling. Lengthy front row queue pre batching with its own estimated wait time, everyone is happy.

Most of the coasters at Phantasialand have front row queues too and there’s no negative impact on operations or theming.

Building (or rebuilding) a major outdoors coaster without a front line queue in this day and age is simply shortsighted. Hyperia I’m looking at you.

Generally they’re self batching too so shouldn’t have any impact on batching… one less row in fact so a positive!

It only looks like they’ve lost like 40/50cm to the theming on that one wall, there’s loads of room by the other gates. They should just push the other queue barriers inside the station to the left which would create a bit more room for the front row queue yet again.

Remember the Original nemesis always Walk on no matter the crowds , don't get that anymore and if you do , it takes 15min to walk the que line !

Can't move it any more left as directly left of the ramp is the walkway to get to the rear rows of the train.
That walkway is wide enough to have a little bit shaved off it, likewise for the ramp going down to those bays, wide enough to have a little bit shaved off it in order to squeeze in a front rider queue

Not an issue over fireworks weekend but when I visited during the first week of SF it was practically wall-on. In years gone by if have done a few laps but now I can't be bothered to go all the way round as it's just too far. They often seem to have the extended queue open unnecessarily too.

On a more positive note, for the first time since the ride was retracked I thought it was genuinely running really well in the evenings over fireworks, sure the vibration is still there but at least it felt fast and intense like before. Just a shame it was such a chore to actually get on it due to the long waits and the cross-country hike

Yea the que line can be too long , its actually mental how long it takes to get to the station 🤣

I wonder what the longest non cattle-pen queue line is for a rollercoaster?

The longest i've ever experienced is FLY at Phantasialand. It's a good ten minute walk including lots of stairs to the batching point with only a tiny switchback near the start and the rest being a continuous circle around the perimeter of the area.

AI claims that is twice as long as Nemesis queue length but being AI it's inevitably incorrect...
