Pleasurewood Hills

Would a Maurer Sohne Spinning Coaster fit Pleasurewood Hills well relatively thrilling and not much to break too much to break the bank. They have the land for it.

Just thinking of new ride ideas

Pay per ride only works if you have decent footfall and passing trade. It wouldn't work at Pleasure wood as nobody is going to drive there , pay for a couple of rides and go. The only way this park works is if you have people spending the day there and money in park.

The need to have enough of an offering to tempt people away from Great Yarmouth PB and get new punters through the doors. If they fail then the park is toast

Reserving judgement until we see what’s happening

Think it’s a good think - clearly Looping aren’t interested in the place - and the removing from there portfolio may aid their other UK parks budgets

As for Pleasurewood - let’s hope it works out. Always thought with the correct investment it could be a great park

Well it seems the parks current 15 year lease ends in 2026... have loopings jumped ship before too late ?

Locally here the park is a laughing stock and we all gave up years ago

Where was Aladdin's Cave Boat Ride located in Pleasurewood Hills having tricky time figuring where it was in the park very limited pictures of it and in general very few pictures of Pleasurewood Hills past rides

Where the Waveswinger is now. If you look on Google Maps, you can see some of the contours of the waterway that are still there.

An article in the local press has revealed possibly 4 big new rides for the 2026 season, a clean up and rides run efficiently. It seems cannonball may not operate in 2026 as its deemed a mess and they would like to move it subject to council approval etc.
Maybe refurbish Cannonball Express over 2026 come back with new paint and theming get its 2nd train back

This is great to see and to see that they're putting so much money in without even seeing it for an entire season first is showing that they really want to operate this part well and to its full potential and to get back to its former glory I think a well on the way to doing it and if this is anything to go off it's going to be amazing 2026 season there.

I think it will be SBNO for 2026, moving it will be interesting and not sure if council will support that. Needs damm good paint, overall TLC and a second train...

It seems they visited the park in January before taking over October 1st

Very pleased to see Cannonball getting some much needed TLC and more trains. Along with Wipeout it's the best ride on the park.

It all sounds very positive bringing in new rides but we will have to see what they are. Short term time think the food offering or lack of at the park needs attention, it was woeful when we visited a couple of years ago.

Good look to them, hopefully they will see an uptake in attendance with the new rides

Moving cannonball? That would be so strange. I feel like it would fall apart and disintegrate, it’s so old šŸ˜‚. It still rode well last time I rode it 3 years ago - it just needed an extra train as the throughput was dire.

I would absolutely love a reason to go back and support the park - I just couldn’t after the state it was in 3 years ago - I preferred remembering it in its glory days!
