Blackpool Pleasure Beach: 2026 Discussion

According to the everything Blackpool page the park have said ticket will also be 2 for 1 on the gate as well as online every Friday and Saturday and 2-4-1 everyday from 2 ( later on later closes was 5 last year on late nights). The initial backlash will be offset by people thinking they are getting a good deal and they have backed down. Why locals complain is beyond me anyway when they get the online price on the gate everyday anyway with proof of address. Other offers include a £15 for non riders in Feb half term and a return ticket for £25 whenever you visit throughout the year.

Fifteen pounds for non riders in half term...with only Nickland open, is not an "offer".
It is a "Rip Off(er)".

Another "Well we tried paid entry but few took up the offer" plan.

Local complain...repeatedly and fairly, because the old cheap access tickets and passes have doubled in cost, with the number of included attractions reduced.

Locals do not visit the same because the park isn't run as well as it was, and locals know the number of attractions that have been removed in recent years...it does not offer the value for money it once did.

Double post...a week apart...tie me to the north pier at low tide...

It was Pigeon Weekend last weekend, the new season draws near.

Beach has season passes for £150 until the end of the month.

The time has come I suppose, can't keep putting it off.

Is Pleasure Beach season pass worth it if you live far away and just want it for the other parks it can get you in

No.
But I turn up at the Beach every few weeks, so I always get good value.
Bar with rides attached.
Strictly off peak.
Better than mowing lawns in the rain.
Probably.

Would be more useful if it granted access to Adventure Coast, Paultons Park and Flamingo Land

You’d have to do the calculations yourself based on your plans.

I looked at it but because many of the parks include admission with accommodation it didn’t make sense for us.
I think that this is the key point.

Some of the parks which are included on the BPB annual pass offer park entry as part of the cost of accommodation.

PortAventura for example gives park access as standard when you book their hotels (often making it better value than staying off site and buying park tickets separately).

Europa Park also offer accommodation and park entry deals (especially at Kronesar) which can work out very good value, since the off site hotels in Rust can be pricey.

Plus as well- some of these parks, particularly the two I mentioned, you’ll want more than one day at them anyway, so the single entry from the BPB pass isn’t too helpful.

I’ve considered buying a BPB annual pass for the international park entry a few times, but for me it’s never been worth it when comparing it to the deals I can usually find with tickets to those international parks.

At the £125 i paid for my season pass it means i need 4 visits for it to be worth the cost. I am highly unlikely to go to any of the partner parks but I will definitely get at least 4 or 5 trips to the pleasure beach so it makes sense for me.

On the new gate price... Shocking . Clearly done so they can offer more 2 for 1 tickets. But £60 seems like a bad decision for a park with a lot of potential walk up trade. It's good news for south pier though.

Trip to the seaside today for shopping and a peek at the new ride.
Not very easy to spot from the road, but it will be right in your eyeline when heading down the prom from Central Pier...will look really good from the Velvet I think.
Town dead, but a very Blackpool tale.

Walking by the Winter Gardens, a large crowd of teenage dance competitors are heading toward me...all make up and teeth...stuffing Greggs sausage rolls in their faces.

Then BANG...
Stalking gull with a direct hit, usual over shoulder shot...flaky pastry everywhere, screaming kids, and a dozen screaming gulls.
At least they didn't have their flick knives out.
Made my day.

I've missed the place.

With the recent announcement of Scenic Railway's closure at Dreamland, I believe BPB now have the oldest operating coaster in the UK with Big Dipper.

I mean, I know technically they've had that title for a year or so now, but it's more solidified now.

I'm sure this will receive absolutely zero acknowledgement, much like Big One 30 or Grand National 90.
There's back to back 100 year old Coaster birthdays coming up in the next 7 years. Rollercoaster, the Nickelodeon Streak, Blue Flyer and Grand National all happen consecutive years
