Minecraft - Alton Towers (1:1 Scale Recreation)

There's a difference between 'negative feedback' and 'insulting'. Negative feedback is where you give me something to improve on. These are not negative feedback:

Apart from maybe leaving FV last, I don't see any proper negative feedback here. That's my point.

PS. You're quite harsh for a forum ambassador. "any normal human being would take negative feedback and improve on it rather than sulking." Are you saying I'm not normal?
 
My 'new' forum ambassador rank was to do with being one of the first to test this new forum software and familiar myself with it, allowing people to come to me and the several others for assistance after the transition. And funnily enough, I did give negative feedback to some aspects of it. The team didn't respond in such a dramatic way, and assessed these areas to the benefit of the forum users.

With regards to Sam and Diogo's posts, they are pointing out the obvious about the game itself, not the efforts gone into recreating the park as accurately possible in a game plagued with these sorts of limitations.

Yes, but as I've said before, it feels like I'm being hated for even trying to do it since everyone's complaining about how it can't look realistic in the game. I'm not trying to kill off negative feedback, I'm trying to kill off the people who don't think the game is good for this kind of thing. All this thread is for is to interest Minecraft players who'd like to see their favourite things merged together. If you don't like Minecraft, just keep it to yourself.

You're not being 'hated', people are just pointing out the issues with the game itself! You have to understand that when someone posts a message online it can come across as very aggressive, even if the writer intended on the opposite. I took me a while to realise that myself!

Oh, and 'Negative Feedback' isn't always giving you something to improve on, that is constructive criticism. Sam and Diogo weren't exactly saying what you've done is bad, they're saying that the game limits you to something far from realism. How is that insulting?

People are entitled to opinions, that is what a forum is for. But just because you think that Minecraft allows you to create realistic coasters and everyone else disagrees doesn't mean that you being hated as such.

By the way, I agree with most people, the amount of time and effort spent is admirable. :)

I know some of you don't think the game is good, but that's not the feedback I care for - it doesn't help me in any way. Just state the admired effort part if you don't like the game.

It's not about what I want people to say, it's about what I don't want people to say. This thread is getting awfully crammed with posts that aren't actually related to the build. Kind of wish thread creators could delete posts to be honest.

Wish I could repost it and delete this one tbh :l
 
Even if you did re-post this thread, you would still get the same responses, as they're peoples opinions!
 
A lot of us post about RCT3 creations, and often conversation might lead to discussing that certain amounts of detail cannot be shown in the game (short of creating your own CS). We don't mind as it's relevant to the topic title, as is discussing the pros and cons of theme park building in Minecraft.

I personally think your creation is good!
 
I don't get this community. Really wish Aaruse hadn't said loads of people like Minecraft here - didn't intend to be wasting my time saying the same things over and over about how I couldn't care less for people who don't like the game.

I'm not going to reply to any more posts which are related to negative opinions about the game. Simples. Just getting ticked off now (to be fair I've done a relatively good job of not getting ticked off earlier).
 
Surely you have to appreciate that if you post it on a public forum you will get replies from other members which could be both negative and positive. You seem to be taking observations about the game as personal insults which is obviously not what was intended. I really don't see why you are getting so worked up about peoples opinions on the game as after all they are opinions, they do not alter your point of view on the game.
 
I like seeing the different recreations of AT. each program used gives a different look to the recreation and that what I like.
The smiler video is great.

I think the work you've done is rather good. I think if you're going to post in an Alton Towers forum, not a minecraft forum, a recreation of Alton Towers, it's going to attract interest. At least your thread was not ignored.

Personally, I think it's really good but I just can't get away from the fact EVERYTHING IS SQUARE!

Saying that, the track is the most accurate recreation I have seen so far as to how it FEELS to ride :D

(please don't take offense to my post, you've done great work, just remember, it's a towers/coaster forum not a Minecraft one you've been paid a lot of compliments I think you've missed)
