Yesterday in the smiler holding area under the station there were huge flood lights , now I have to say, YES it was too dark before hand but now, its just awash of bright white light.

Bad enough

But on the stairs walking down from the station to the shop, Merlin have installed lots of small but REALLY bright lights in the ceiling making the corridor very bright too, not something that was needed IMHO.

I guess H&S have gone a little crazy again ?

The lights in the projection mapping room have always been there as far as I remember (I assume for cleaning at night etc) but just never normally turned on. Maybe someone just forgot to turn them off?

The Seeper Room, Baggage area and Exit corridor lights are all sync together. You cant just turn on a "section" Usually your right its for cleaning unless there's been a guest illness down the exit corridor thus needing the lights to be turned on to see. It's not a permanent thing don't worry.

Most of the time if its towards the end of the day and they've been turned on they'll probably be left turned on rather than turning it off. I know this is lazyness but still.

If the projectors are not working the house lights have to be switched on as its too dark otherwise.

Don't think it's anything other than that or accidental.

Still, as mentioned when they are off it gets pretty dark in there. You never know they could have been trying to fix some of the projectors.

THE LIGHTS !!!!

On Wednesday all the lights were on and all projectors were off.

Also none of the lights were on in the station (the normal lights, not the big LED ones)

Maybe they're having a major problem with some of the projectors, resulting in no light in the marmalisation room, meaning they have to turn the house lights on which are all on one switch. At least this is what I hope.

If this is a new feature, then it's a real shame. The exit path is the best bit of The Smiler.
