Scarefest 2016

I suppose the other way it can be seen is that if there is a free maze and it is good people may be satisfied by that and not feel the need to pay to do more.
Or if it is a lower standard than the paid mazes (which no doubt it would be) first time visitors would think they're rubbish and not worth paying extra for the paid mazes.

Have Towers announced any Scarefest Park opening times yet? I'm booked into Splash for Sunday 23rd and I'm betting we'll see an earlier Park close than in previous years

When I pre booked my scare maze tickets I asked and they said Normal opening hours and closure of 10pm. could change though depending on numbers through the gate.

I can see it being 9pm close as usual, riding the coasters in the dark is a huge selling point for the event, they won't remove that. Whoever said 10pm probably meant it takes an hour to run the last batches of guests through the mazes and get the park empty so the park would shut down fully at 10pm, but the queues close at 9pm.

Wouldn't say a 10 pm close is completely out this year. While I expect them to go for 9pm again, remember that they aren't doing a premium experience (operation lockdown), which has always taken place after ride close. If extreme/alone mazes return, then probably not, but if there are no after-park-close events, then there is no reason the park can't stay open *waits for the "but it's merlin" comments*

Yeah sorry should of stated that.

Thanks. if you look online they've been very careful to not promise anything. I reckon it'll be 20:00
Yeah I'm not sure where your getting 8pm from...
The park has always closed at 9pm, the whole point in scarefest is that you have the park at night time. The park was absolutely dead last year so if they were ever going to drop opening hours for scarefest it would have been last year...

The park has also always opened on Tuesdays and Wednesdays and never shut at 16:30, yet here we are.

I never saw the 9PM on the screfest page, couldn't make it out against the Oblivion shuttle. I would have thought it was perfectly reasonable to question whether scafefest opening would be cut back this year against the back drop of the cut backs in hours seen for the rest of the season.

Actually the park has closed at 16:30 and 16:00 many times before this season...
You didn't ask a question, you said you reckon it'll be 20:00 this season...

It is perfectly reasonable for someone to suggest that the park may have taken the decision to close earlier during Scarefest this year, what with everything else that has been going on. Please let's not make an issue of this, if you do have an issue then take it to PM.

Thanks.

:)

Advice request.
Never done Scarefest before, but will be doing it this year with my wife on my season ticket, probably combined with a daytime walk to the Chained Oak, just to tick it off my "to do" list.
What is likely to be the quietest day? I would prefer a Sunday.
Will it be busy even on the quietest day?
Do you have to book express parking?
Do you get a season pass discount on the paid extra attractions?
Are they worth the money?
Is the Hokey Cokey really what it's all about? (OK forget that one if you want.)
I like the Passage del Terror in Blackpoo, but don't really rate the Tower Dungeon much.
Any other tips...
Remember I'm an old man with sore feet, wifey doesn't do the big rides anymore, due to her being a "Grown up". She just sits and drinks strong beer, bless. She would probably do the Horror mazes etc, though she may indeed scare the staff, being born in the shadow of Pendle etc.
Thank you in advance for your kind replies...

You there today then? (pointless question, you always seem to be). Did you also see the technical staff that were down by the scaffolding (last years end games exit) with ropes and callipers, hinting at the return of the shipping containers?
