Biggest Cities without a major park?

This is something I've been thinking about for ages, what cities across the world don't really have a theme park of their own? I can think of a couple.

Houston - Population 2 Million +

The 4th largest City lacks a major theme park ever since the closure of Astroworld in 2005. The closest parks are in San Antonio. However this is scheduled to change with the new Grand Texas Theme Park (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grand_Texas_Theme_Park) but until then...

Berlin - Population 6 Million +

Germany's capital and one of the biggest cities in Europe. Use to have Spreepark which has been SBNO since 2002. The closest "decent" park is Majaland Kownaty in Poland and Belantis and Freizeitpark Plon aren't that far, but it doesn't have a theme park in the same way London and Paris do.

Those are two I can think off the top of my head but there is surely more.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think Rio de Janiero, Brazil has any major parks, and I'd say that Rio is certainly a major city.

Sheffield. Nearest major theme parks are over an hours drive away. :(
Sheffield is about 40 miles around from Alton Towers and only takes that long to drive due to the roads, so it doesn't really count.

Bristol has a higher population than Sheffield and the nearest theme parks are nearly 2 hours away. Nearest are Oakwood (129 mi, 140 + mins), Paultons (69 mi, around 120 mins) and Legoland Windsor (98 mi, 120 + mins for the time of day you would be travelling to it). Thorpe, Chessington, Alton all over 2.5 hours away, Blackpool nearly 4!

On the plus side, Brean Leisure Park is only 35 mi and about an hour away.......

For me, Nottingham. There are 2 themparks near Nottingham and both of them don't allow adults in without children...:(

(Wheelgate and Gullivers Kingdom if your wondering)

Nottingham is under 40 miles away from Towers and less than an hour

Pretty much everywhere in the Midlands has Towers and Drayton within reasonable distance.

Belfast seems like a bit of a dead zone in the UK, unless I'm missing somewhere.
Yep, the only major-ish park in Ireland is Tayto and it's a bit of a trek by European standards from there.

Cambridge, located about 100+ miles from the nearest theme park.

Edinburgh, nearest theme park is m+ds...

If you discount the wooden coasters at Luna Park in Sydney and Melbourne, it’s 1350km from Melbourne to the nearest (proper) theme parks on the Gold Coast.

That’s like going from London to Rust and back again.

Not quite Sheffield or Cambridge...

Another one I find quite astonishing is Vancouver.

Nearly 2.5 Million people and the best park around the area is Playland which is definitely not a big park. Any decent park is probably SFDK or CGA and they're still a good 400 miles away!
