Marble Arch Mound Discussion

I suppose these things are very subjective. Paying £4.50 to walk up a little artificial hill isn't for everyone.

I don't understand why anyone would pay anything to walk up that hill.

Is it just me or just that hill reminds me of Oblivion queue line hill?

Looks like the Marble Arch Mound has been labelled "Worst Attraction in London"
not surprised! It really is a surprising decision for them to build it in the first place.
It's now opened for free, I think that they will have to pay me to climb it
I can do you one better: Watch it from the comfort of your own home (almost certainly a better experience of walking up it)

I did this the other week with @Burbs and can confirm it’s pretty awful We only did it because it was free, not sure why you would pay. But we spent no more than about ten mins walking up and then back down. From the top you can see a few bits of London, however most of the buildings around you are taller than the mound, so are many of the trees.

They also seem to have closed off the inside section where you originally walked down, so you can’t even see the massive scaffolding structure from the inside.

It just seems like a really random installation and also a strange location for it. I’m assuming the staff are getting paid, but it must have had about 10 staff or more including those checking tickets, bags, security and those dotted up the mound.
