That's unfortunate, guess I'll have to wait for the 2023 general discussion for that one.

If 3 jabbed passes are required for 2022 season and you have not had your first then that is a 5 month process currently. I can't see them exclusively requiring that come March. Hopefully the chevrons will be gone for next year as well.
 
A lot of the queue line chevrons were already half gone from all of the footfall & weathering when I was there at the Fireworks.

Hopefully there won’t be a need for a repaint come next Spring. Ugly bleeding things.

If they've bothered to change the gate price does that mean that we could see the return of buying tickets at the gate

No the “gate price is there to ensure they still get a decent income per guest with the 2for1 and half price vouchers.

Maybe, but again this price is just to ensure the half price tickets still give them a price that is profitable. It’s nothing to do with selling them on the “gate”.
 
How do they get away with selling online tickets at a claimed "discount" when you can't even buy a ticket at the gate anyway? It was a dodgy enough claim when you could, let alone now. Even DFS will flog you a new sofa at an extortionate price for a few weeks before they pretend it's half price in one of their sales.

Don't you pay "gate price" if you buy your ticket online on the day of your visit?

Recently there's always been some sort of online discount available, just it decreased the closer to the visit you've got. I guess they're going down the route of if they weren't preventing in person sales due to Covid, that's the price people would pay. Questionable at best, if I'm brutally honest but that's likely the reasoning they'll have.

Unfunny enthusiasts do that even outside of closed season. I wish there were more stringent methods to prevent people from just being muppets on Google Maps.

Anyway. Let's talk about opening hours next year. 19th March confirmed as the opening date:

A number of 4pm closes throughout the calendar, which is great news for those who like to complain about the hours of the off-peak days when at least the park is open rather than being shut full stop.

6pm closes listed from the end of July onwards into early September. Hours will probably be extended closer to the time. No indication of Mardi Gras or Oktoberfest yet based on the closing times, but these will likely be amended when they have the dates penned in.

Scarefest starts on Friday 7th. Halloween is currently listed as a 10-4 closing, but I suspect that could change based on the pre-books or closer to the time.

3 days of Fireworks, 4th - 6th November.

No closures throughout the calendar. Praise be.

Let the moaning about 4pm closures and the fact they haven't listed any closing times past 6pm (yet) outside of Scarefest / Fireworks commence.

But the misguided fools who like to plan their whole day in meticulous detail won't be able to plan for the whole day completely if they can't differentiate between a 4pm and 5pm close three months in advance...a 5pm closure with a long queue could mean a dark ride on a coaster...we need early closing times confirming or changing immediately.
 
I still think committing to at least 10-5 every day but closing on off-peak Tuesdays would be reasonable. Gives most staff that day off so can get more staff working weekends, additional maintenance time if needed and allows longer opening for the rest of the week.
