Camelot - gone for good?
But on the other hand, nobody is going to want to stay as an abandonded theme park forever, so it makes sense to eventually do something with it. The council are aware of this, and surely will likely cave into some kind of residential development, just maybe on a smaller scale than Story keep...- JAperson

Camelot - gone for good?
I think housing will eventually get approved on this site, purely because the council will realise there is no chance of anybody developing a permanent leisure facility here. With the governments new push for housing, and with the change in the planning laws coming. I could see this eventually...- JAperson

Six Flags America: General Discussion
These parks are incredibly different, Knotts is more of a 'theme' park, it's also way more family orientated, while Magic Mountain is far more thrill coaster heavy (I think they still have the record for the most coasters). Six Flags America was too close to Kings Dominion, itself not...- JAperson

Six Flags America: General Discussion
I don't think Batwing has any chance of being reolocated unfortunatley. It's old, complicated and there's probably at least some problems for getting parts. The massive expensive for what is probably not a great ride experience for guests is also a factor.- JAperson

Universal Epic Universe - New Florida Theme Park
I have to say I think that the 'portal' branding for this park looks really good and I think it sets a new design standard for theme parks. I think we could see similar elements incorporated into Universal studios GB, although I don't think the same 'portal' branding will be used.- JAperson

Six Flags America: General Discussion
Yeah, when they merged I think it was stated that the new chain would need to refocus on the right properties. I wouldn't be shocked to see parks that were previously competing now get reorganised, with some closing where there is duplication. I also think this park in particular was clearly...- JAperson

Paultons Park: General Discussion
But for a true family park it needs to have something for everyone to do. And although I haven't visited Paulton's I don't get the impression there much to do for teenagers or young adults. If a family has a thrill-seeking teenager and a younger kid, there's little point visiting a park that...- JAperson

Which Rides Do You Skip?
I don't visit often, so when I do I really try and squeeze in everything, but I do not tend to go on The Smiler all that often, have no real interest in the thing, Would much rather just get another lap on nemesis.- JAperson

Matt N’s Expedition to East Anglia 11th-13th August 2024 (Great Yarmouth Pleasure Beach/Joyland/Pleasurewood Hills)
I'm glad you had a good trip Matt, Roller Coaster is always the highlight for me, sure your right it's nothing by modern standards, but if you get the right brakeman (or woman) and its being going all day I have known the occasional intense ride on it. If I'm honest I have a bit of a soft spot...- JAperson

Thorpe Park: General Discussion
Yes but with this being the UK's new tallest coaster it shouldn't exactly be a difficult thing to sell? If anything it seems pretty straight forward, you'd think there would be ads all over the place by now but I've seen nothing.- JAperson

Thorpe Park: General Discussion
Has anybody seen much advertising around for this? Considering it's opening in a few months time you'd think they would've started to have gone really big advertising wise but all I've seen in Thorpe's own social accounts and newspaper articles.- JAperson

Thorpe Park: General Discussion
I reckon they'll go for clean and shiny, looks better in Instagram pictures, I wouldn't expect many new theme's and area's to look old and ruined because it just doesn't look at good unless cartooned, doing it accurately just looks like it isn't looked after when your having a quick glance.- JAperson

They'll probably just get new names and skins, I wouldn't imagine full scare rethemes or we'd have probably heard about it already.- JAperson

Blackpool Pleasure Beach: 2023 Discussion
No it doesn't, firstly it's spent a hundred years with a system that almost everyone expects of a pleasure beach style park. But secondarly and more importantly is this silly ticket system, if it's one price to get in why do you need to scan your phone at every ride? Why do they need a picture...- JAperson

Blackpool Pleasure Beach: 2023 Discussion
Yes it is important, this isn't about this story in particular, they lost lots of money and unless they want to keep loosing money then they need to make some changes. Allowing entry passes and then having places to eat/drink/be entertained on park makes a lot of sense for pleasure in its...- JAperson

Blackpool Pleasure Beach: 2023 Discussion
Pleasure beach definatley should return to there pre covid ticketing system or something that is an improvement on it. Scanning your phone at every ride is just a pain and having a walk around pass is a great idea for them for reasons @Matt N has talked about around how the park is perceived. If...- JAperson

Veganuary (and beyond?) 2024
I know some Starbucks at least do charge for different sorts of milk, like oat milk, one of my friends can't have dairy and they always charge them extra for the milk.- JAperson
