    Paultons Park: General Discussion

No it’s the equivalent of the hotel stating “en suite bathroom” on every room even though they don’t have any rooms not en suite. Or “tea and coffee making facilities” on every room type even when all rooms come with that facility. Both of these are standard practice on hotel booking sites to...

    Paultons Park: General Discussion

They list free parking as a perk with a standard ticket too. Don’t think they are pretending it’s annual passes only, just that all tickets to Paultons get free parking.

    Paultons Park: General Discussion

I disagree, with the entry prices as they are I think an additional charge to park would be a big negative. Would actually be easier for Merlin to do the opposite and add £3-4 onto every ticket price and abolish parking charges, they'd get a lot of good reviews for removing parking charge and...

    [🌎 Universal GB] General Discussion

But Despicable Me is a film about an evil villain adopting three girls, the four main characters are an adult male and three girls. It’s overall a pretty generic kids film not particularly skewed to either gender. I don’t think there is any evidence to say they won’t let alone strong evidence.

    [🌎 Universal GB] General Discussion

But thats the point, the teenage boys don't want to visit Disney parks for those attractions and the parks and those rides are still incredibly popular. The fact some attractions won't have boys wanting to ride them isn't a reason not to build them. Teenagers won't want to go to the Octonauts...

    [🌎 Universal GB] General Discussion

Would teenage boys and lads be excited by a Frozen dark ride, or a Little Mermaid one, or a Winne the Pooh one? That hasn't stopped any of these rides being very popular at Disney. Why should the fact teenage boys might not want to ride a Wicked ride mean it shouldn't be built? Teenage boys...

    The Traitors (WARNING: Potential spoilers!)

Did anyone else find the actual secret traitor thing a bit underwhelming in the end? Fiona is chaotic though so things might get interesting. I do see Stephen getting banished soon...

    Blackpool Pleasure Beach: 2026 Discussion

Although £35 is a lot for an impulse spend, it still seems fair for a whole day of rides.

Universal Epic Universe - New Florida Theme Park

Portofino Bay is the most expensive hotel at Universal, so can't really be compared to Rosen Inn (one of the cheapest hotels in the area). Also don't forget the original three Universal Hotels (Portofino Bay, Hard Rock Hotel & Royal Pacific) include unlimited express pass at the original two...

    Chessington World of Adventures Resort

I think its the use of the word Winter that makes me thing of Jan/Feb. November isn't Winter and December not really either. I'd just describe it as Christmas opening in that period. I agree that Chessington should have a larger Christmas offering and the weather in November/December is...

    Chessington World of Adventures Resort

I still don't see significant January opening. I think the autumn opening will expand and Christmas will keep getting bigger. Then close down after the kids go back to school and re-open for half-term at the end of Feb.

The World of David Walliams: General Discussion

From the TowersStreet History section https://towersstreet.com/construction/x-sector/#portdiscovery X Sector was firmly decided on early 1997 so would have been set in stone as a concept late 1996. Additionally the train design would have gone to B&M. Sorry I don't see that the Thorpe Park...

The World of David Walliams: General Discussion

Oblivion opened March 1998, Tussauds bought Thorpe Park in 1998. The X Sector theme was set in stone long before the Thorpe Park purchase. I don't think that Tussauds acquiring Thorpe had any reflection on the X Sector theming for Oblivion and the surrounding area.

[202X] Project Horizon (SW9?): Planning Approved

Yep and I think the leadership likely realise that planning permission to build a building in that area is still a good thing, as you are unlikely to get anything without a building in that area, even if you then change plans on what to do with the building it makes sense to keep the planning...

Asda, Argos & Sainsbury's all have large warehouses nearby so its understandable they would be concerned about traffic.
