The Traitors (WARNING: Potential spoilers!)

I think introducing the secret traitor is a clever way to keep the core of the show safe (it would be a boring and significantly shorter show if the audience didn't know who the traitors are) while giving the audience a taste of what it feels like for the players.

It also opens the door to many different twists on the secret traitor they could do each series. I kind of wish they treated them as a literal 3rd faction. They don't have any involvement with the banishment (which inevitably means we'd workout their identity before too long), their only goal is to make it to the end of the game (with a little help to tip the odds back in their favour, maybe allowing them to recruit or pass the role on). But if they do make it they steal the victory from the traitors should they have failed to eliminate them.
As with the current series the audience wouldn't know who they are. This adds a bit of suspense to each banishment or murder, that can actually last all the way through the series.

Or take influence from the game Secret Hitler (a lot of fun if you havn't played it). Have the secret traitor be completely cut off. They don't know who their fellow traitors are but also no one knows who they are. Build in some incentive to make them want to work together with the obvious risk that they are having to trust someone who might not be on their side.

I think revealing the secret traitor this soon was an error. Even if a green traitor got banished, I think they could've allowed a recruitment (from a secret traitor approved list) and carried on for a bit longer.

Fiona is amazing though. She's sharp as a tack but playing the dotty old Welsh dear very well and the younguns are all falling for it.
 
I knew it! My mum told me it was too obvious, but I had a feeling it was going to be Fiona! I think she’ll be really good, much better than the other two; I think she has a bit of Alan Carr about her in that no one would ever suspect her, but I think she’s much smarter and more conniving than she lets on.

Who have we got our money on for tonight’s murder? I think Maz would be logical; if they get rid of him, it deflects heat from the current Traitors and puts it on Jade. Whereas the other two would potentially put heat on Stephen and/or Rachel, I feel.
 
That might just be best Traitors episode ever 😱😍

- Was not expecting to see the Chests of Chance make an appearance again, but I was secretly hoping they would when the vote became tied. Delicious telly for us watching at home, but the tension in the room must've been off the scale! I felt so sorry for Reece given it's now two round tables in a row that he's come within inches of being banished, plus being one of the last two in the cages. Him being from my hometown makes me more sympathetic with him as well.

- I also feel sorry for Rachel, yes she is trying to work alone but that attack from Fiona was brutal. And for once Rachel was telling the truth, when Traitors spend most of their time having to lie!

Wow… what an episode!
I was quite stunned at that whole series of events between Rachel and Fiona.

I can’t quite decide whether Fiona is playing brilliantly by trying to do a Harriet and out Rachel to cement herself as the ultimate Faithful or whether she’s just completely messed it up for the both of them. Neither Rachel nor Fiona had much heat on them, so given how well she’s played so far, I do find it a surprising move from Fiona to be so vocal.

If nothing else, Stephen will be thanking his lucky stars, as will those in the firing line of Amanda (namely Sam and Jade)!

Rachel and Fiona’s faces in the tower at the end were an absolute picture… I can sense tomorrow’s turret will be tense!
 
Very silly play by Rachel. Declaring information from a recent dead with nothing to even confirm a conversation takes place is doooooodgy, and if she was faithful she wouldn't have done that. Amanda's confidence was obviously entirely misplaced, but there was no way she intended the information to be declared in that way, otherwise she would have either invited somebody else or at least alluded to the conversation on her way out.

Fiona capitalised perfectly and when banished this'll play perfectly in to her subterfuge.
 
When added to the "what was hugo like in the turret" comment I think the spat between Fiona and Rachel will go in Fiona's favour, even though from what we've seen it was quite a strange reaction.

I wonder if this is the first series where there will be actual blood on the carpet - if looks could kill only Stephen would still be standing in that turret 🤣
