Erm it may be just when on my phone it wasn't showing - derp :/
But my friend said they did delete tweets on Sunday and there are definitely no references when you click the hash tag on facebook.
I've read a bit more info from a user on a different forum. Do you want me to post it or post a link to the forum? They are still working on it but looking at the track now.
I have talked to my partner about it and he said that it could be that the woman in Guest Services was exaggerating to get more out of the park. It's taking someone's word for it I suppose, unless the person does come forward or go to the press there is no proof.
As I said earlier, my partner was behind a lady who said that her son was hit by the bolt and had been taken to hospital.
So yes someone (if not more than one person) was hurt.
Do you think it's more important that this is swept under the carpet so the ride can stay open and make AT lots of...
When we were queuing for Nemesis after leaving the queue for the smiler, we were saying about how many bolts were on each section yet there weren't as many on The Smiler.
Tracycharnock - were you in guest services around 3pm on Sunday? Just wondering if it was you that my bf heard discussing it with them - he had his camera and he showed them the photos for you.
If not then there was another young boy involved, if it was he told me the boy was hurt. :S
I'm nearly 35 and I only went on Nemesis for the first time on Saturday. (although I've only been to the park 4 times as an adult and the last 2 years it was either closed or the queue was too long and it was the end of the day)
I also went on the Runaway Mine Train for the first time and...
My boyfriend was disappointed he couldn't get a spicy chicken burger near the Sealife Aquarium yesterday. Us girls went for pizza but he doesn't like pizza/pasta. I can't remember if he was told they weren't doing them anywhere or at that particular outlet.
That was the scary part. I didn't feel comfortable with queuing under the ride on Saturday. On Sunday we were talking about safety and my partner was saying about how safe the cars/gondolas are on the track. But we never really doubted the track. I did have a very uneasy feeling and after it was...
Which is why we accepted an open-ended re-entry validation on our tickets. One of our party was visiting for the school holidays as she is a teacher abroad so she is going back in a few weeks. We were going to wait for the park manager to discuss it further but I had to come home to collect my...
We think that the staff were deliberately not given information, so that they couldn't say too much iykwim. The man that told us about getting fast track passes as compensation for the problem was told that it was a 'fake bolt' :o
Also when we looked at the images on the camera and zoomed in even more, we could see a second nut was coming loose.
People were being told that the ride was safely operational with one bolt missing, but if that second one had come undone the track would have come apart.
People were tweeting...
Hi, I've just signed up. I was there for the weekend this weekend.
We went on The Smiler yesterday and loved it, and because we had the entry for today as well we went straight there this morning. We arrived before they opened the ride entrance, and queued for half an hour until the entrance...
