So today, I did a comparison on Discord of what the local greasy spoon to work did for just under £13 v Chessington.
Sadly no MAP for scale, but the Parkin and Monster were kept for another day. I expect parks to be more but CWOA are taking the mickey.
In an ideal world, X-Sector will get a proper do over next after the Valley is done, so closed season 25/26, or they just keep doing bits every closed season for 3 years or something.
FootExs still run for finals etc, LSL and WCRC would be able to put them on and have the trains and staff to do so, but the appetite from clubs isn't there?
They nailed the queue time. They said 275, we waited 275 (with a 10 min breakdown thrown in). I assume it was a guess but it was an impressive one.
Not sure why I'd lie about this considering 95% of the meet attendees were in the queue with me at the same time?
Nemesis started with a 2 min dispatch interval and got better. 1 of the trains seemed to be a bit finnicky with bingo being played on it, the other seemed to work fine.
Galactica seemed to die constantly. Oblivion was slow but not offensive. WM and 13 on 2 not great but Smiler on 3 and Rita on...
That's when they got it moving again, those of us left cheered.
Such an atmosphere today in the area, the gun is a bit odd and might suit a few small design choices to make it less boxy, plus the area needs to grow in (not much they can do there) but it looks and rides fantastic.
