    2017/18: SW8 Speculation

To me it's only lost space if it would be available to use in the first place. From what i've read over the years (not just on here) it's extremely doubtful that a ride would get permission in that area (the part the new ride doesn't seem to be utilising) and so could;t be used for this...

    2017/18: SW8 Speculation

It's not really lost space if planning permission would never be granted though. If they can't remove foundations of The Flume due to trees there must be major doubts over gaining planning permission. You'd expect them to have got the council in and asked opinion on what would be likely to get...

    Towers Loving Care

They've just put some more pics on Twitter and a message saying they are adding vines. It's almost like they're watching this thread :)

    Towers Loving Care

    God I hope so.... :(

    Towers Loving Care

I've heard through a friend that Towers Street is receiving some attention this time around - but have seen no evidence otherwise yet.

    Towers Loving Care

Work is being carried out on Towers Street also, but only know this via a friend so can't confirm what work exactly. Starting to look like more than just a little routine stuff - at long last. Taking a better now than never attitude.

Wasn't there for me either. Can see why Ripsaw went - even though I hope it will be replaced - but think that HEX may just need a long term refurb.

    Towers Loving Care

Three things I hope are close to the top of the improvement list: - the toilets - all of them - road surfaces - especially the one leading to coach & disabled parking - Towers Street - gives an awful first impression as people will always (rightly or wrongly) compare to certain other parks...

    Towers Loving Care

This is the key thing for me - they have recognised they need to change, too early to comment but hope it proves to be a turning point for forthcoming years.

    Fireworks 2015

Never seen Duel using the "graveyard" but remember seeing Haunted House having massive queues in that area :)

    Fireworks 2015

First time seeing the fireworks in years, but thought they were excellent. Decent attempt at a story, different sections clear to determine and mostly good use of music. Lighting and fireworks worked well together. You're never going to get something on the scale of a permanent installation...

    Fireworks 2015

Avoiding all videos for this, but refillable coffee would work for me every time, and may well be a key purchase on Saturday :)

    Liking Th13teen

Corkscrew was the first roller coaster I rode (hence the Avatar) and very happy with it's replacement. Wish the outdoor section was longer if anything.

    Incident on The Smiler 02/06/2015

I see the point for others, but not for me and wouldn't attract me if I didn't have the AP....

    Nemesis Sub-Terra: "Ongoing Maintenance"

Although i'm not the biggest extreme coaster fan, I love going to Towers. Yes, it's a little worn in places and needs some TLC to say the least in areas such as Dark Forest and The Flume, but I can also see past this and remember my visits over the decades from before Corkscrew. I now go there...

    Fireworks 2015

Haven't been for at least a decade so looking forward to this years whatever the theme :)

Which ride will be removed next? (Poll reset 20.06.2017)

Katanga is fine, the Flume on the other hand is showing it's age more than any other area - which is a great pity for me as I remember riding it many times when younger.

Funny things you've overheard people say in queuelines

Not in a queue line but yesterday standing in the Lego shop opposite Flume when a member of Towers staff came in and asked the person on the till "is this the Lego shop?"...... ;)

    Incident on The Smiler 02/06/2015

I've been expecting them to open for Scarefest IF cleared by HSE and their own procedures (and have been pretty much since the accident). Social media etc just fluff on the sidelines. If it doesn't open then the current work will have helped Merlin identify what else needs to be changed for next...

    2017/18: SW8 Speculation

Expecting a woodie, hope for RMC, think Towers should make a cracking job of one on that side of the valley. Sort of hoping that Air is themed more in the changes also. The valley will return to being a key aspect of the park in the next few years, wonder if an entrance move is on the cards now...
