I get this is a joke but the plans/ consultations show it's a target of 1000.
Which given Thorpe's *excellent* operations mean it'll actually get 750 - 800 pph (higher than Colossus, but lower than all of Thorpe's other coasters).
It'll probably have 2 trains with 6 cars each.
Also, this ride...
At first glance Among Us seems a pretty terrible IP.
IMO IP's only work if it actually a) enhances the experience (Saw TR is definitely much better than certain other Eurofighters because of the theme even if it is dark and gloomy) and b) makes people want to visit (Black Mirror Labyrinth? I...
I have to ask because I've never stayed overnight at AT but would anyone on this forum actually pay £284 to stay in a hotel for 1 night at AT? Considering this doesn't even include park tickets.
I agree with most of the above. However Paultons and Flamingo Land are both parks that almost no-one outside their specific region have heard of (unless you're a theme park enthusiast) yet they're investing in large-scale projects so it's not complete doom and gloom.
Also, I feel that people...
Imagine being in that gap where you can ride the world's tallest coaster (Kingda Ka) but couldn't ride a coaster a fraction of that size and speed (Rita)
Alton towers have its natural beauty, Chessington have a zoo, Legoland have Lego <- These are all the things in addition to rides that the parks have. Thorpe Park doesn't really have that much else and can be "finished" within a few hours (let alone 2 days) on a quiet day.
Families tend to be...
I agree, Thorpe's famous enough for thrill rides that whenever anyone in the UK has some cash set aside to visit a theme park for thrills they'll probably go to Thorpe. I think they should refocus on their existing family areas so they're at the same standard attraction-wise as their thrill...
Every park knows you need to invest or the attendance plummets otherwise it'll be a case of "been there, done that". And once people are actually in the park they need to have a good time (3.5 stars for a "regional theme park" is still pretty poor).
I doubt Thorpe Park have reached the market...
They do belts at Thorpe because it's how they check restraints regardless of whether or not someone is actually sitting in the seat not because they care about the restraint conditions.
Also I think that you can send Stealth without the seat belt in so I doubt there's a "seatbelt sensor" on...
For the past week (half term) all rides (except BounceZilla and DBGT) have had an uptime of 90+% with most rides available for 95+% of the time. Coupled with reportedly good operations this year the park, a better atmosphere, a more lively appearance and reportedly most effects working this is...
So takeaway from this thread so far:
-Operators on certain rides are inattentive
-The bins at Efteling are more worth visiting than Thorpe
-Not value for money
-Cheap, gimmicky "new for 2019" attractions
-Operations getting closer to where a major theme park should be at
No one's mentioned the...
