I reckon they'll end up building a woodie on the site as I'm not sure there's a need to replace it with another water ride (although I do agree they are a staple of theme parks)

Also on Orlando United the path the ride is going to take has been posted, the red dashed line is where the ride vehicle will go if there is lightning so the ride can remain open.
Or they are adding audio/lights to the train so they need to bulk up the footers a bit. I remember seeing a post on OU which mentioned that they had been managing the track for a while as there were tiny stress cracks in it.
An article on Growth Spotter shows the breakdown of the 474 acres. Its a bit of a mix mash so they'll have to negotiate to buy the land in between. If they can I can see a Citywalk 2, multiple hotels and a new park.
I suspect that will be going pretty soon, and it wouldn't surprise me if the station got pretty much demolished as well. It's also worth noting that Storm Force Accelerator has now been shut as well too due to the Hulk construction.

Not totally Smiler related but Kay has been up to her old tricks again. She asked a Labour MP the same question multiple times even though it had been answered the previous times. It ended with the MP asking "What's wrong with you" Good on her for speaking out against her...
