I don't think we should be concerned until we see it in the car park...

I think if this happens a pricing restructure is needed. Where there under 1.4 metre tall get in for a tenner. Then they will have gate numbers for this group to argue for a better mid range ride investment. My 6 year old daughter has been on Thirteen and Sonic but found them a bit too extreme. She has really out grown Cbeebies land now. So if Blade goes all she really has is...

Blade is not being removed. It is routine work.
Although the lack of similar moderate thrill family not kiddie rides is still an issue even if Blade stays.

Is Battle Galleons actually any good? The mass amount of water puts me off!

In my opinion, no. But it is a family attraction.
Depends. its bearable on hot days, but I wouldn't even look at it on any cold/average-slightly warm days.Is Battle Galleons actually any good? The mass amount of water puts me off!![]()
Great idea building one at towers. how often is it acceptable battle galleons weather?

Battle Galleons is one of the most overlooked attractions at the park due both it looking pretty dull and people being put off with getting wet. However I think it's excellent. It's great fun interacting with people at the side and in the summer there's usually a crowd of competitive dad's on the cannons protecting the family honor. Is Battle Galleons actually any good? Like Tidal Wave at Thorpe Park, experiencing this in the cold and wet is great fun! Nothing like getting soaked with ice cold water on a cold day to get the heart racing!

Battle Galleons isn't a world class stroke of seminal genius like Nemesis, but it's great. Is Battle Galleons actually any good? The mass amount of water puts me off!![]()
I'm 45, but I can spend up to an hour squirting people and getting squirted back whilst getting wetter than you would think possible.
Laugh when you squirt people - get mad when they squirt you.
The fun on Battle Galleons comes from the endless cycle of revenge. (Watch the classic Laurel and Hardy short "Tit for Tat" to see how that works). I've had some truly epic battles. It's makes me feel like a naughty kid back in the 70s when I was pretty mean with a water pistol.
That feeling is priceless and it's what theme parks are all about.
Let your hair down, lose any dignity that you may think you have and you will have the time of your life for an hour.
Of course if you can find some self important snob who things it's fun to squirt other people, but complains if they get shot back, it's even better (or maybe that's just the devil in me).

I have to agree, shooting people with water is so much fun, making the little kids cry, the competitive dads who take it far to seriously and the girls who just sit and scream under the endless drenching you administer ...

You've got to give it to them, the fake drop followed by the deeper one is a good craic. People momentarily have a shock followed by the bigger one, then get rushed off backwards. A one hit wonder as a first time rider, but a really good one. Plenty of smiles for first time riders and people watching them.

I've done Thirteen with loads of first timers this season. I told one of my mates that it was all over when we pulled into the crypt just so I could get a reaction from him when we dropped. The pre drop is a stroke of genius as just that little jolt suddenly makes people feel uneasy and builds great suspense.
Th13teen doesn't have the re-rideability pull that Nemesis, and to a lesser extent Oblivion or The Smiler has, but it is great to ride with first timers. Plus, for my youngest, it is probably the thrill ride best suited to her age range. This is why I'm positive about the type of ride SW8 is likely to be, as I think there is definitely a need for more family-thrill coasters at the park.

The kids are banned from Battle Galleons... I went on it not realising you look like you literally went for a swim in the lake once you get off
Ice Age is alright once and then pointless. Heave Ho is a nice ride but its a bit boring. And if I wanted to go to a sea life centre we would
