If that was aimed at me, they've been on on every one of my visits. The projectors have been off on most of my visits, but the strobes have been on every time.

the TV outside is working now though with an edited video so i don't think this is permanent. they wouldn't have gone through the hassle of editing the video or the audio that plays inside the room if they were going to kill the pre-show off entirely.

Oh come now, a TV screen working is hardly something someone would think "ooh, I must take a picture of that for the forum!" about. He's hardly claiming to have seen John Wardley on park armed with helium balloons and an RMC brochure! ;)

Which, let's face it, would be great!

I'll vouch for the external TV. It was on yesterday. Projectors weren't though, but they've been working 4 out of the 6 times I've visited this season.

I wan't proof that you taken the photo on your next visit and not three years ago, so please can you include in the photo a copy of the newspaper from that day and make sure that the date can be clearly seen in the photo.

I also want proof that it is you that has taken the photo, so make sure that you can be clearly seen in the photo along with some photographic ID like a passport or driving licence.

To really prove that it is you in the photo, please verify by including your credit card number along with your pin , and don't forget the 3 digit security numbers on the back ...lol...:eek:

I've seen projectors on with lights on only. Never seen the lights off with the projectors this year.
 
The projectors were definitely running with the lights off early this year within the first few weeks when the ride reopened in 2016 as they were all working when I visited during the last weekend of March. Although, they weren't aligned properly with the walls.

If I recall, I think the reason as to why the lights have been left on these past couple of months was because a few people complained the room was far too dark to see anything inside and I remember one person claimed (via social media) they tripped over in the queue line and hit the floor with their head.

Doesn't answer why the projectors weren't on despite extra lighting being added after that incident though. Seems odd.

What the hell did they trip on in there? Their own shoelace?

Honestly, why do Towers always feel the need to protect people against their own stupidity. :mad::mad::mad:
 
The post was written with a couple of other ones that sounded similar though not as extreme within days of each other on Alton's FB page back in late April/early May if I recall correctly.

All I can remember was she made a long post saying how they walked into the projection room and due to it being so dark tripped over and smashed their face into the floor during which she required medical assistance for bleeding on her forehead afterwards (apparently). Alton did respond and said the usual "We will look into this. In the meantime, email our customer services on ---------." and then a week later reports started coming in saying "the projectors are broken again and they have installed new lighting inside" type of comments.

Does anyone know roughly when abouts it was noted these changes were made? I can't remember if it was in April or May, but it was within a week of this post that someone made.
