They haven't announced it through marketing channels. It has been announced as a work-in-progress with the water park. A standalone hotel would only be announced around 1 to 2 years in advance, but as this part of a €140m (£105m) investment, it has been in and around the consultation phase with the local community for around 2 years already.

That makes more sense, I thought it seemed a bit soon. Thinking back wasn't it meant to be built before now?

The water park was originally rumoured to be open by around 2012!
However, due to massive planning obstacles and bureaucracy, it has taken them a long, long time to get it sorted. The park never publicly committed to a date, though - and have taken their time while consolidating the theme park offering.
