Whatever it is I doubt it will be equivalent to a Disney event or any other event that a big non merlin park would put on. Late opening to 8 or 9 pm would be nice but I wouldn't put any money on that happening.
Reduced park entry price. John Wardley. Pin badges. Limited edition ride photos. Nemesis open until 7pm etc etc. https://www.stokesentinel.co.uk/news/stoke-on-trent-news/nemesis-alton-towers-25-years-3199479
I think that's an excellent offering, personally! Glad to see Alton honouring such an iconic ride in this way!
Certainly a pleasant surprise to see some effort being made, particularly a 7pm close for Nemesis. Sadly unable to pop down this weekend, but hopefully there's a nice turnout for it!
Not wanting to make a Towers vs Pleasure Beach competition, but have they done much to celebrate the Big One's 25th?
It makes a nice change for an event taking place consisting of more than just a few temporary signs! Hopefully there is a good turnout coupled with good feedback and it encourages them to do more of this.
This actually looks pretty exciting! I'd be there in a flash if I wasn't already going on Wednesday. I'll keep my fingers crossed for some retail staff accidentally putting them badges out early!
Sounds promising! Good to see an all time classic getting some recognition. And i mean both Nemesis and John Wardley!
Woah, they're pushing the boat out! Maybe they should of incorporated some sort of celebration on that Influencers event they had a couple of weeks ago. OK, would have meant the public not included but at least there'd be a bit more recognition for what is pretty much the most famous modern ride there.
No thanks! Just because you sell your soul to YouTube and Instagram (there are exceptions) does not mean you get priority over others. Its a rollercoaster..... will it feel like a celebration if its a select self privileged few get to celebrate it... It would be nice to ban the likes of Jamie Lang (Why O2, Why!!! You ruined the rugby world cup before it started.) But i can but dream. On another note they could have raised loads of cash for charity by making these influencers ride nemesis naked for 25 loops. Who here would pay to see tpww Shaun ride it!!!! And make some money for a good cause? (I like mostly like Shaun btw)
Aren't they just going to be the Nemesis25 badges that have been on sale in the shop all season, but free for the first 250 riders every day? I havn't seen it mentioned anywhere that this is a special badge that has just been commissioned for this event. If I'm wrong the prices for a NEW special badge would be tasty on Ebay. Can't make the event anyway as I'm working. Have fun though everyone
We're there Friday and Saturday with platinum queue jumping for both days. Should be able to bag a couple of these badges.
Ok, bad example, but you get the point of what I was trying to say. They should have more celebrations for the ride that has - like Nemesis has for Towers - put BPB where it is today.
It sounds like a great idea, although as soon as I heard it that image of John Wardley wheeled back to Alton Towers all Hannibal Lecter style came back to me. He's done what, the 10th, 20th, 21st and now the 25th Nemesis anniversary event. This time they make it sound like he's a meet & greet costume character roaming Forbidden Valley. That's real commitment from John!
