So what is everybody's favourite route through the park to ensure maximum ride time?

Or is it heavily dependant on the day, and best to just follow the app for queue times?

Mine depends on how early I'm at the park.

If I'm there for early ride time I usually get a couple of rides on wickerman.
Then at 10 I walk across to Rita and have a go or two on that.
Then thirteen (though if it's quiet you sometimes have to wait for a full train, thats why I usually do Rita first).

Then I check queue times, though I usually end up going to X-Sector, then spinball, then skyride to Forbidden valley if it's operating to save my legs.

I know a lot of people say forbidden valley first, which I totally understand (it's the opposite of most guests), but I find that Nemesis is most often a manageable queue, and Galactica is usually short too now VR has been removed, so it doesn't matter much to me when I do these two.

It's worth remembering it takes time to get from the car park to the entrance. At least 10-15 mins for a short monorail queue or fast walk. So always plan to arrive earlier than you want to get into the park.

Don't forget Smiler has single rider queue which might be worth it, depending on who you're with and the length of the main queue. If you are going to do this remember, it is very variable, sometimes you'll get on faster, sometimes not so much. You must go on alone, and sit wherever the hosts put you. It's a gamble, but it can be very much worth it on a busy day.

If u have early ride time its best to do Wickerman, then go get in the Smiler queue ready for opening. That way u will of done the 2 rides that get the biggest queues by 10:20. After Smiler, Oblivion should still be walk on/5 min queue. Then head to dark forest as that is very quiet first thing but crazy busy by lunchtime. Doing it this way u should have 5 of the 7 main coasters done by 11:30 ish.
If you don’t have early ride time skip the Wickerman part and go straight for Smiler. Then do Wickerman near the end of the day.

Nemesis, Air, Nemesis, Skyride to Thirteen, Rita, Oblivion, Smiler, Wickerman, Spinball, then "stuff" after express parking picnic.
Least damage to my worn out knees.
Quality chilled beer at 1.25 a pint in a real glass.

Straight to box office and pick up our unlimited queue jump wristbands and then go on whatever we like numerous times. An hour or two at the welcom-inn then a few more rides and re-rides and then stagger back to the Chained Oak B&B and order a Chinese to be delivered.

Two days of the above and that's us done for the season. No urge or need to return.

That sounds like the perfect day. Expect the part where I’m too tight so I would only stretch to the coaster only fast track.

If it's a one off trip, then unlimited fastrack is very good value. But if you visit a few times in the year, then you would've already been on the rides and won't feel the need to splash out

Skyride doesn't open til 12. So you're telling me you wait at forbidden valley until it opens
No, I'm saying I have a lovely wife who won't get out of bed on a day off before 8 anymore.
Hate the M6 in the rush hour.
Express parking more than pays for itself in savings on food and drink, and saves the hastle of the third rate monorail operations.

I would guess the season pass will increase in price. It’s served it’s purpose which was to tempt people back to the park.
Yes but they have to be very careful. I agree the season pass was very good value and has resulted in increasing footfall. However to do away with it or drastically increase the price and people won't come back so visitor numbers will decline. Add in the fact that I haven't heard about any new attractions for next year and wickerman will be a year older there won't be anything to attract people. Poultons have a whole new area remember and also BPPB are offering season passses for £ 80 which includes an entry to europa park and portventura They will have to keep up with the competition!

Think it's an O2 thing.
The Rugby World cup campaign starts tomorrow and O2 are a big part of it. I expect they were having a coup day and building up the hype with the staff. (I know because I spent Saturday playing rugby with Johnny Wilkinson at Twickenham for a rwc event).

Why?
5000 is nothing for the park, all that walking between rides, all those queuelines to wander through, f&b to get.
Most of the coasters throughputs are around 900-1,500 per hour so if those 5,000 go to the same ride then the queue would be massive

They were all O2 customers who won tickets for an exclusive customer day. I doubt all winners would’ve attended anyway.
