Looks like you can already buy a 2020 season pass online, for £48. Although Alton Towers seem to be confused as to what year they are selling.

It seems the Scarefest and Fireworks dates for 2020 have already been set.

I've came to the conclusion that they know people may not have a great day out due to queues etc so they price their product accordingly.

I don't know if I'm being pandantic, but does the white light next to the storm turn on nemesis seem a lot brighter than last scarefest. Not a fan of white lighting tbh

Quite simply, they just haven't done it.

It seems that at least half the screens on wickerman are always out now, on my last visit the whole left side had no flame screens.

It's very disappointing to see this not maintained at all.

Ignoring the fabulous temporary lighting for scarefest and looking at the actual structure itself, you can see the bright white screens displaying fire dotted throughout the structure. There are at least 5 screens off there.

Oh dear the lighting this year is terrible, hope that changes

Remember the days when it was claimed the effects would be part of the ride’s daily checklist, and any malfunction would mean the whole ride couldn’t open without them being fixed?

And how everything would be fine because the ents team were responsible for the effects and not the ride maintenance team.

They didn't say how long that would be the case...

True but it would of happened anyway regardless of who’s responsible. Like everything Merlin, the first year everything is great and the effort is really made to keep on top of issues and then year two onwards those efforts are never at the same level.

A shame as I bet at the park level they want to do well but are restricted in what they can do with funding.
