Hey guys, nice to meet you all. I'm happy to join this forum as I've had it mentioned to me often. Seems maybe I joined at the wrong time judging by previous posts but nonetheless I hope to have a positive impact on the forum
Welcome to the forum @Tmodo!

Wicker man has now got some lighting, but it’s no where near as good as last season. The whole side of the wicker man need to the station doesn’t have any lights.

The themed lights in the queue line are all turned off and there are SUPER BRIGHT LED lights in half the queue line which give the whole ride area a massive white glow. The entrance also has a generator light now compared to the spot light it had last year.

They’ve also added a white search light thing that’s really bright, where as it was yellow and red last season.

They really need to invest in permanent lighting each season and build it up around the park over the years. Lighting has always been inconsistent.

Not meaning to bring up the dirt from the last few days but travellers day is uncomfortable to say the least.

having been twice on this day I would never go again - enough said I think

Arriving Thursday morning (two nights splash landings) I'm aware there is no ERT on Friday as it's a screfest day but is the ERT on, on Thursday (17th) as its a non-scarefest day or is the ERT off for the remainder of the season?

I believe on days where ERT is not available that hotel guests, MAP holders etc. get given a fastrack to "compensate" them, if this is the case on Thursday where do I get that? From hotel reception or park gates?

Ta.

There wasn’t ERT last Thursday despite it not being a Scarefest day (but silly really when it’s a 10-4 day) so imagine there won’t be this week.

You usually get the fastrack tickets from hotel reception. So it’s worth getting there early, checking in and leaving your bags with reception as the room won’t be ready, they should give you the FT then.

Another quick question for you regulars..... Does anyone have any idea if the front car on 13 has a little more leg room than the cars behind?

Reason I ask is that at what is a very young age for this I had to have a total knee replacement carried out in January 2019. We last visited in April 2019 and I physically couldn't get into the car on 13 which was disappointing but I put it down to the knee still recovering and given time more "bend" would come back. I can get onto everything else except Spinball which I doubt I will ever be able to ride again :( owing to the position your legs are put into and also Wicker Man was agony back in April although I did manage to get into the seat and secure the lap bar I've never wanted a ride over so quick in my whole life !!!!

Hopeful that I can now get back onto 13 especially for Scarefest in the dark but not 100% sure and know I can get on Wicker Man but hopefully be a bit more "comfortable" this time around!!!!

Cheers, that's what we'll do!

It does, most of it is either switched off or doesn't work. They've added extremely bright temporary lighting to large parts of it.

They seem to pick and choose what needs work on. Oblivion was pumping out so much mist afew weeks ago which I haven’t seen in years.

Shame they can’t have a more consistent way of just getting things fixed instead of leaving things almost beyond repair.

Indeed, it can be erratic.

Was on The Smiler the other week and ALL the effects were working, just seems like the luck of the draw
