If you think those margins are high see what freestyle actually costs them to run at THORPE now it's got VALIDFILL enabled.£5 for a hot dog and £2.70 for a regular drink! At those margins I'd be opening all of the outlets as soon as possible![]()

And in English that means?

VALIDFILL is the chip system freestyle uses so they need no staff at dispensers (other then to fix). And in English that means?

Ah great, more crap to eat, just what was needed
"Chipped" refillable containers. When you buy your all day drinks refillable container, it's put on a reader and the RFID chip in the bottom is enabled for that day (or the days) you are paying for. In order to get the product from the Freestyle machines, a chipped container with a valid RFID chip has to be in the drink dispense slot. Stops people who haven't paid getting free drinks. And in English that means?
Universal Orlando use the same system. For a few seasons, all guests could get free chilled drinking water & ice from these machines, but they have stopped that now. You need a valid chipped drinks container to get anything from them.
No idea what restriction there is on the amount you can dispense in quick succession, i.e. to stop you getting a drink, pouring it into a friends drink cup / container, then putting your valid chipped container back in for more. I am sure there is one though!

With VALIDFILL it's a configurable time out. THORPE is set to 1 refill in 10 minutes."Chipped" refillable containers. But it's misconfigured for vessel size so that doesn't work properly.

Don't visit Disney in Florida then! The MagicBands all have long-range RFID tracking on them & large proportion of guests wear them. Everyone staying on-site is Disney's 30 or so hotels gets them for free & they sell them in all the parks too so you can buy one and load your ticket onto it. I dread to think how much info Disney collect about guest movement flows from the bands (they will of course say they don't - but if you believe that...!)So now even drinks cups have tracking chips in them? Stop the world, I want to get off.
I read somewhere that Disney spent close on the equivalent of a "new gate" park putting MagicBand into the 4 Florida Parks and their 30 or so hotels. It has to be said, it is a very good system though.

How can the park justify closing at 5pm? We arrived at 10 :30 and still only done 4 coasters including runaway mine train. Waiting in smiler saying 45 minutes but more likely 1 hour by looks of queue. Hoped to do wickerman too but looking unlikely! How can it be justified to close at 5 on a school holiday?
