2019: Peter Rabbit Hippity Hop - Junior Drop Towers for CBeebies Land

I did my year ten work experience on Teletubbies.
Twenty two years ago.
Good to know Towers are keeping up with the latest trends.

Actually, come to think of it, I think Teletubbies might have been relaunched a couple of years back. It's in CGI now, though; as good as it might be for young children, it'll never be the same to me!

Teletubbies is still very much a thing, it was indeed relaunched afew years ago the characters are still people in costume but the outdoor areas including the house exterior and now green screened CGI.

source: my life :flushed:

If it is a Frog Hopper, they are not so much a drop tower, more a tower where the car bounces up and down quickly. Hence the Frog Hopper, or Hippity Hop names. I think the name fits quite well.

It’s just a formality by this point, but planning permission was granted for this ride on 11/03/19.

Also, from the council:

“There have been several letters received both for and against this proposal. It is noted however that some of the postal and e-mail addresses given are rather spurious.”

Takes more than a few immature brats pretending to be the Ropers on every planning application they submit to contest against developments it seems.

They're fine for their target audience and hardly a sorry excuse. Of course they could have been put to better use (ie Cloud Cuckoo Land), whilst the queue line fencing is a horrific colour scheme, but they'll do.

So, what's the fate for the original frog hopper? Are they leaving it there until no one rides it or are they gonna get rid?

It’s on the 2019 park map so I assume it will be running. It’s a bit odd but not the first time the park has had two versions of the same ride at the same time.

That's what I thought, it's still on their website too so I can assume it will stay open. I see them getting rid of it soon though. The ride gets virtually no riders compared to the rest of the park, even for a children's ride, and with multiple frog hoppers in the park now I can't see those queues improving at all.

I suspect CCL will be closed towards the end of the season for redevelopment in 2020, so they will keep the Frog Hopper going until then.

Although, I’m sure I said that last year.
