But you know if the media get the hold of it who will be to blame. It's never any of the super smart law/rule/guidance abiding public at fault.
 
Have just been reading the recent reviews of Towers on Tripadvisor. Sounds like a Grade A Merlin/Towers cock-up, where they clearly let way too many guests in to chase the £££ and stuff social distancing.

"Will" from Product Excellence at Alton Towers must be on overtime cutting+pasting his boilerplate paragraphs to cobble together responses to the reviews.

Someone also needs to teach "Will" - or whoever at Towers cobbled together the paragraphs together that "there", "their" and "they're" are all pronounced the same, but each has a different meaning / context in which it should be used. Specifically; ride teams do not try there best.... they try their best.

You would not get rubbish like this from Disney or Universal - far from it.
 
I think some people need to take responsibility for their actions towards others though. How can the park actually enforce distancing if people really don’t want to do it.
There seems to be a huge number of selfish people that won’t distance from others, won’t wear masks and drop litter in local parks

Well, they could start by having staff actually telling people to keep their distance. I'm sure most would comply to an instruction given to their face (rather than signs and PA which everybody ignores).

For those who still ignore instructions or give abuse back, it's time to start escorting covidiots out the park... people will behave when there's consequences to their actions. I know its not that simple in reality but something needs to be done. To paraphrase Merlin, "[something] is better than nothing"

I genuinely think it would help massively. Some people need constant reminders unfortunately and at the moment Towers could do a lot more to help with this.

Many people will only do something if the price of not doing it is negative consequences. If they were strict people would fall in line, bumping their gums and the like but they would do it. I mean surely they had issues like this when smoking was first banned in many indoor place. Its not a public space so the park is entitled to chuck them out if they fail to follow rules. They especially need to watch out for teenagers who are the worst for having no masks and getting too close too people.

The staff are too afraid to confront anyone because of the behaviour of people in this country. They need to have back up from security staff/management who will take no nonsense.

I have managed to move my pre-booked tickets twice. Just send towers a message on their website and they changed them no issue. Sure they such have a automated feature on the website for sure but they will move pre-booked MAP tickets. Takes them a day or two to get back to you though.

Went through Email and Facebook and when they finally replied they still said they couldn't do it as there were no passholder slots left. I had a decent moan but the best they could do was give me my £1 back.
 
I'm going in a few days time again and I'm a bit annoyed about the crowd levels. You can certainly tell the difference between a couple weeks ago and now. Yes it's the summer so I expect it to be somewhat busy, but I'm still annoyed they're letting so many in

Well I'll deal with it it's worth queueing to get on certain rides. The queue times being overstated is a positive which makes me feel somewhat better
