I suppose it depends when the fault was identified, if they didn’t notice until the park had opened then they are a bit stuck.

Yeah I'm more on about the staff with no power/say over the kind of 'do we open, do we close' decisions, who are the front-line customer service face and will probably bare the brunt of the complaints. If the Management Team knew about this prior to opening then that's a poor show from them.

Communications on point today.

I wonder if they're doing a gradual closure now, in the hope they can get something turned on before everyone leaves the park.

If admissions are still not letting people in, does that mean your day ends when you have to go to the hotel for the toilet?

Depends what the fault is, pretty sure a lot of Towers water supply has local pumps due to the topography. It’s possible the pumps where knocked out but there was enough pressure in the system for early use of the water, then the pressure quickly dropped as guests started using it in the first hour.

Not saying that’s what happened just pointing out sometimes things are not as simple as they seem.
 
So is the park closed or not? It reads to me like they don't want anybody else turning up, but those already there can stay.

That's how I read it, but I can't see how they can keep the park open and running safely & effienctly without mains water? Do they have any sort of backup supply like they have for power outages?
 
Surprised they opened at all if the only functioning toilets were in the hotels. I guess they assumed they could fix the problem quickly but it wasn't possibly.

Hope the garden lawns didn't get too much of a pasting.
