Gone are the days where I'd hoped this role would have been my future... also noticed this in the ad copy:

Not really second gates though are they, considering they're both inside the park and one of them is included with admission anyway....
 
Having the next two days off and my Poland trip gone up the swanny the plan is Blackpool tomorrow and Alton Towers on Friday as an alternative.

So wicker man back up and running and now Nemesis has been closed most the day upto this point. It's not 'guess which ride will be shut today' they seem to have one down after another

I believe it's fallen off the app a couple of times since they've been open this year and then come back again. But yes, it normally indicates at a minimum a more lengthy closure.
 
There are some rather permanent looking signs now placed up (pictures below from TowersTimes). Don't expect it to reopen any time soon.

Brownie points to who notices the spelling mistake first.
 
About 11am this morning while riding The Smiler noticed a an Oblivion car stuck just prior to the drop.

Had another ride on the Smiler, and witnessed the people on Oblivion being evacuated from the stuck car walking down the lift hill
 
No you fools, this is part of their new attraction: 50 spelling mistakes to find before you are 1.4m tall. If you find all 50 spelling mistakes then you win a rubber. If you find the super rare 51st spelling mistake then you win the coolest prize ever, the golden rubber!

The number of mistakes they make with their signs is embarrassing. They're seemingly never checked for errors either by Alton Towers or Leek Signs. You'd like to think at some point somebody would question their process.
 
Well it's going to be an interesting day for me going to towers when it's set to rain all day quite badly. Nothing better than riding Rita during a weather warning
