No point in a SRQ if you cant have multiple groups on the same row, which seems likely in the medium term.

Probably.
On that note, can anyone think of any Alton rides where solo riders just won't be able to ride during social distancing?

Single rider won’t be an option, there wouldn’t be any point as you won’t be able to fill spare seats, as you won’t be able to sit next to others.

I think TH13TEEN will be a major problem, and personally I don’t think it will be able to open. It needs a minimum amount to run, if they choose to close alternative rows, then they will be below the minimum amount. If they fill it all up then everyone is too close.

I believe Smiler had a minimum of 8 needed, which would be less hard to do, eg 4 row 1 and 4 row 3, or two on each row, spread out.

Only issue is early in morning and when cold I guess there is a chance it could stall with not much weight.

Other than that I guess the other rides will be fine to operate.

Hex could run, with markings on the floor and a much smaller group, I’ve seen other parks abroad opening indoor rides like that.

I guess wicker man pre show won’t work, but other than that it will be fine.

Just plenty of markings on the floor in queue lines, and Perspex screens in areas where queues do cross, eg Smiler. That’s what places like Efteling, Walibi, EP, etc have done.

I know they won't bother with srq, but I mean are there any where they can't social distance a solo guest who went main queue?

I would say Spinball would be impossible for a group of 1 to ride. I know normally (apart from smiler an 13) coasters need at least 2 people on the train, from my understanding that's a park and not a manufacturer rule. If I'm right the park could relax it for spinball. I can't see that happening.

Strict rainy day only this year, if at all.
First year without free Sun tickets in decades.
Twenty years at least!
 
As far as I know they can’t run rides with sandbags or water dummies in. However I imagine that’s there rule and one they could change if needed, as Blackpool certainly do that on the big one.

It’s certainly going to be interesting now they do it, especially for single rides/small groups from different households.

I think Blackpool is on a different page altogether when it comes to health and safety.

Well once on an off peak day I rode wicker man 9 times, and admittedly on the last couple goes I just wanted to go through at that point and get on the ride

Right, but that's not how it works. It's part of the queue and batching process. 70 seconds...
