I think the only thing I'd queue 90 for now is the smilerI did in 98, didn't regret it. Still my fave coaster there.

How much of a queue does oblivions queue hold? Surely it's no more than 90 from the entranceTwo hours many times in the early years...constant movement of the queue every ten seconds...they could shift a queue back then, magnificent station loading system.

I’ve queued 3 hours on a school trip in the summer, but that was over 20 years ago. The park was heaving that day.

I only went on Oblivion once, early mid-2000's I think. They still had the don't look down recording, so I'm not sure of the exact date.
30 minute queue.... 29 minutes too long for me. Did not like it one bit.
I have for several years been meaning to re-ride it, because I'll give all rides a second chance. But a bit like Rita, during Scarefest the queues are generally quite long, and I like to go on the rides I definitely like.
It's the same with the last ride of the day, I like to use that for something I really enjoy.

What's wrong with Rita hehe. In all fairness I quite like itI only went on Oblivion once, early mid-2000's I think. They still had the don't look down recording, so I'm not sure of the exact date.

I was quite young when I went on Rita. Up until I went to AT the only rides I'd been on had been in Camelot (blows a sad trumpet tune) and DLP.
I just thought there was a lot of hype over something that was blink-and-you'd-missed-it. Also I think my head got banged around quite a lot which I didn't like either.
I can forgive those ear bashings from something like Indiana Jones because the ride itself was really good, especially going backwards as it did back then.

I wonder why it was closed then, if it's still a ride that you will be using guns for?
I thought maybe they would be turning the guns off and it would just be a haunted house ride.
Was this something else that wasn't to do with COVID-19?

Tomb Blaster Chessington was open from the start so I don't think this is to do with Covid-19 safety precautionsI wonder why it was closed then, if it's still a ride that you will be using guns for?

Everything is to do with COVID-19, be that directly or indirectly. There was short notice to bring staff back, so you'll have seen delays in having sufficient staff to run the ride, rewrite operating procedures, techs to bring it back to day to day use and wanting to bring things back slowly as guest numbers increase. It could be one of or a combination of any of those.

Surely they'll have to stop the cars in the station to clean the blasters, as they won't have enough time with the cars moving, especially when they already have limited time to load and unload guests?
