The Strategic Development Director will lead and manage Resort project teams throughout the entire project lifecycle to ensure deadlines are met within budget and set timescales, including the production and authorisation of good quality and timely board papers.
KEY OBJECTIVES…
- Liaison with Divisional Director and Resort Leadership Team to deliver the 10 year Strategic Development Plan for the business in line with the corporate mission.
- Proactively support the Project Champion for projects over the value of £1m.
- Strategically oversee Corporate Social Responsibility for the resort and support the Divisional Director with external relationships and community involvement.
- Ensure the resort is represented positively and accurately in the local media and minimise the impact if issues occur, protecting the business and brand against adverse external representation.
- Liaise and support the Head of Media Relations on local matters as necessary.
- Liaise with other Resort Theme Park Strategic Development Directors to ensure best practice, alignment of approach and ongoing support across the UK existing estate.
Don't suppose anyone knows if The Ruins are open at all yet? Heading up this weekend and would love to end the five-year streak of not being able to explore them.

Tried it last year at scarefest. I insisted to my mates they wouldn't let us in but they did and we walked on NemesisThey were letting people in through the forbidden valley entrance without a hotel reservation yesterday as long as you had pre-booked, certainly let us in with MAP's anyway. Not that this was advertised anywhere, but if anyone is planning on going while the monorail is shut, it's worth asking to save yourself the long walk.
