My interpretation of "empty" is that there's no one living there, and is nothing to do with how many physical set pieces are in there.
I did understand you - also a good explanation there. To my knowledge I don’t know of many or any dark rides that have adjusted to its audience. I’m not a fan of the Gruffalo River Ride at Chessington after they changed it from Bubbleworks, I choose not to go on it but unfortunately that ride will not adjust to suit my or anyone’s experience who don’t enjoy it. Dark rides are created and the audience has to adapt to it, positively or negatively. The ride can make changes and improvements where it sees fit, but those changes wouldn’t be primarily aimed at its target audience.
Probably the best examples at Alton Towers are Hex and Nemesis Sub-Terra. Hex was massively altered in its first season to better suit its target audience and Nemesis Sub-Terra gained an entire extra third of an attraction to make it the terrifying experience guests actually wanted it to be, along with various other changes. To my knowledge I don’t know of many or any dark rides that have adjusted to its audience.
Then they may as well have spent the money to refurbish the old ride and add bits here and there.
They are indeed pretty different extremes. Hex was finished as intended but met with vocal disappointment. Other than the vault, the redesign saved it to being the classic attraction we all know and love.In most cases the changes are subtle, usually around sequencing and lighting, maybe music. Sometimes it’s more extreme, such as Hex where the whole pre-show was scrapped and redone.
How do you know they haven't?Then they may as well have spent the money to refurbish the old ride and add bits here and there.
I hope they have, if fully refurbed it's still a great rideHow do you know they haven't?
That is probably what they have done.
If the amount and level of social media and on-park marketing is anything to go by I'd expect a full, high-budget TV advert. It is their shiny major new attraction after all.Yeah fair point the the above ^
Also are we expecting a high budget advert for this ride or is it more low key? Do they usually advertise prior an attraction is open to the public or during?

The Emily Alton Storyline.What storyline?
Looking at the map I can’t work out the things outside on the ground? Also what’s the statues opposite the house?
I know we shouldn’t take it as bible but sometimes there hints.
