That would be amazing! It would also mean that Splitface could survive for another generation, if you are taking the nostalgic angle!Gah, I wish they'd reuse that exploding head thing, but repurposed as a bursting spider's nest with all baby spiders flying out, maybe before the hide and seek bit. Emily could introduce you to her 'friends' who want to play too with all the little spiders trying to board the car (using some air cannons, projections or dangling cloth) before meeting mummy spider. It would make the dark scene much more unnerving. If anyone from MMM is reading, I'll take a lil commission
The "projection ghost" on the coffin also looks terrible. The worst thing about this new ride is the new technology they've used. Looks ok on a wall or door but all the other bits look bad to me. The one where she's at the window looks so out of place. The hand projection has always been completely washed out and barely visible, at least during all the rides I've had on it.
I'm honestly not sure what they were trying to achieve with it, it looks terrible.
Are you talking about where the undertaker used to be? Did they really replace the peppers ghost effect of the ghouls flying out with Emily? Okay, I understand the rides backstory is about her, but not every scare ir figure has to be her, it seems a bit lacklustre in terms of creativity, but that's just me.The "projection ghost" on the coffin also looks terrible. Yep she kind of flies in from behind the wall kind of sits up, looks at you then disappears again, but the scale is all wrong, it looks about the size of a small dog against a human adult sized coffin. Are you talking about where the undertaker used to be? Ah, I see. Seems a little too complicated for a small moment of the experience. What was wrong with refitting the ghosts flying out of the coffin for the new theme? They were simple, but still we're really cool and effective. I never knew how they worked until the Haunted House documentary was released.Yep she kind of flies in from behind the wall kind of sits up, looks at you then disappears again, but the scale is all wrong, it looks about the size of a small dog against a human adult sized coffin.
It just doesn't make any sense. A spirit could leave a closed coffin, if the lid opened and she sat up then fair enough. I don't want to bash this ride too much because it's quite obviously still work in progress, It's just some of the reliable things they've removed I don't understand personally. Like the branch in the garden, why remove it?Ah, I see. Seems a little too complicated for a small moment of the experience. I'm sorry, but what exactly is the branch in the garden scene? I don't get where you're coming from?It just doesn't make any sense. Sorry that may have been removed for some time now, there used to be a tree branch in the garden scene that used to drop when you went under it.I'm sorry, but what exactly is the branch in the garden scene? I don't get where you're coming from?
Oh, that one! That was in the original swamp final scene, right after you'd encounter the loch Ness monster. That scene hasn't been around since 2002.Sorry that may have been removed for some time now, there used to be a tree branch in the garden scene that used to drop when you went under it.

Sad but true. They still have time to perfect the ride, dark rides can be altered over time unlike roller coasters. Best case scenario for me personally is to get a bunch of MMM staff and bring in some of the original designers together and do a series of annual alterations to the ride (aside from John Wardley), like Studios East Ltd (Rex Studios 2.0), Don Owen for new props, and Technovations for refurbishing a lot of the older mechanical special effects, or implementing new ones. Hopefully this would bring the feel and charm of the original ride back, while still not being a carbon copy of the original ride but instead having its own separate identity and a different story while reviving just enough of the original ride respectfully in a coherent manner. I think the ride would look great with a mixture of theatrical and UV LED lighting if done right. Some of the scenes seem a little too bright (The Hall of spiders and the Finale) while others like the trommel and the screaming heads are lit really well!
There are only two sections of the ride that I think look extremely naff, funnily enough both are screens.
The jump scare at the beginning of the mirror corridor just looks stupid and cheap. Granted its now animated which improves it slightly but its still rubbish and a very obvious tv screen.
The giant Emily eye looking through the window is the worst for me. The two windows next to it lit up blue just make it look like the effect is half broken and as if a HDMI cable has fallen out.
